The World Of Quests Of Change: The Collector's Manor Part 1 (Alpha 0.2)

Quests of Change is home to several settings adventurers can explore. The following is the first part of the setting guide for the Manor of the Collector of Dolls, an adventure setting and dungeon based around feminizing transformations.

Within the Realm of Mortals, the Manor of the Collector of Dolls is among the largest and most perilous centers of transformative magic adventurers can explore. Despite its title as a manor, this lavish palace is considered enormous and expansive by the standards of other giants. When its size is viewed by the likes of humans, elves, and other mortal races, its labyrinthine scope is comparable to that of a  modestly sized city. Though its said that the Collector of Dolls didn't build from scratch, opting to build upon the ruins of a once great magically oriented society due to the rich magics imbued within the location, the history of the land prior to the Collector's presence has been long since lost.

The Manor's Exterior

Within the center of northernmost reaches of mountains of Centrilia lies the Manor of the Collector of Dolls. Though home to a wide variety of wildlife, region is generally known as being rather inhospitable due to its long and harsh winters and its vast and treacherous terrain. Several small villages can be found within these mountains, heavily relying on trade with each other and those from lands beyond the mountains. Due to the central placement of the Collector's Manor within the this region, those who live in these villages have long since established trade routes that ignore this palace, as many who have trekked close to its walls have disappeared. However, there have been many who whether out of desperation, unchecked ego, or chance circumstance, chose to take shortcuts close to the collector's manor.

From the outer walls of the Collector's Manor, this massive structure appears comparable to a series of interconnected castles, linked by bridges coated in lush flora. Regardless of the current climate and weather of this otherwise bitter region, due to the rich magics of the Collector and her palace, the weather in the mile surrounding the Collector's Manor is always serene and pleasant. This causes a wide variety of beautiful plants to grow in the surrounding groves, standing in stark contrast with the adjacent mountains. Many of the white stone walls and towers of the manor are clad with abundant strands of ivy, each blooming with flowers of varying shades of pink. Despite many adventurers seeking fortune from the treasures within this manor, making intrusions someone common, the doors of its central front gate are always open as if to welcome visitors in to stay a while...

Collections And Dollhouses

While the exact number of dolls currently within the Collector's Manor is always increasing, the Collector is always sure her dolls have comfortable accommodations within the walls of her manor.

Though particular favorite dolls and those being disciplined may be exceptions, the vast majority of dolls within the manor live within dollhouses assigned to them by the collector, fitting the "collection" they were chosen to be a part of. Due to their size, these dollhouses are often comparable in size to a legitimate house fit for a human. However, these houses are known to be the epitome of femininity, and often come with a theme that correlates to the given doll collection that it houses.

A sizable segment of the Collector's Manor is home to her collection of Dollhouses, a hall comparable in form to a full-fledged neighborhood.

Cliques

While what specific collection a doll is part of is the decision of the Collector herself, as dolls live within the manor, it is common for them to develop bonds with other dolls based on their interests and personalities. Many of the largest groups of like-minded dolls are incredibly tight-knit, having specific hobbies and roles within the manor, forming "cliques" that have a strong influence over the society of dolls, though each of these cliques are fundamentally loyal to the Collector herself.

Former adventurers turned dolls often find themselves becoming members of these cliques, as each of the twelve cliques are each reflective of the twelve respective classes of adventurer.

The Collector's Workshop

Despite its massive and expansive floorplan, the majority of the Collector's time is spent inside of her workshop while her desires and will is administered by her creations and her most loyal dolls. A sizable room coated in frills and lace, the walls of this room are covered with sketches of fashion concepts and blueprints for magical items she believes will improve the lives of her dolls. The Collector's Workshop serves a variety of uses both mundane and magical alike, but as its name would suggest, its primary uses are for creation. Brimming with a countless types of materials to work with as well as a treasure trove of alchemical supplies, this room contains the most recent outfits designed by The Collector as well as a wide array of state of the art magical items of her own design, many of which are either incomplete or in the midst of testing. Only the Collector's most trusted dolls are allowed within this room.

The Vault Of The Forgotten

Rather than a name given by the Collector or her Dolls, "The Vault Of The Forgotten" name is a name coined by adventurers seeking the treasures within the manor. Though none who have seen this horde have escaped the manor to tell of it, rumor of its existence has spread like wildfire as increasing numbers of skilled adventurers go missing within the Collector's manor.

In reality, in a basement located directly beneath the Collector's Workshop lies a sizable treasure trove of magical items and valuables formerly owned by the Collector's dolls before they'd assumed their current roles. Though the number of valuables within this horde is rather considerable, its size rarely increases or decreases. This is because while new items are regularly added to this storeroom of magic and treasure, the Collector uses the magic stored within these magic items in order to fuel creations of her own. Likewise, gold, silver, gems, and other nonmagical valuable are often repurposed and integrated into various outfits and accessories the Collector creates for her dolls.
