Glacial Yeti (Alpha 0.3)

Standing about eight feet tall, Glacial Yetis are ferocious beasts that can be found roaming in frigid mountain ranges and harsh tundra. Toting bulky, muscular frames  coated in a thick white hair, the outer edges of a glacial yeti's fur form sharp crystalline masses of ice.

Though incredibly territorial, these beasts will only attack travelers when they get within a range that makes the yeti uncomfortable. Unfortunately, due to the yeti's natural camouflage, more times than not this occurs entirely by accident, as adventurers may inadvertently stumble near a resting Yeti whilst traversing a frigid environment.

Not too bright, these creatures fight primarily using their natural brawn and the natural frozen points that jet out of their bodies. While it most often prefers to use its fists, Glacial Yetis are capable of expelling cold energy their environment, expelling it as a blast that can freeze targets solid. If a creature is unfortunate enough to be caught in this blast, they may temporarily find themselves completely petrified in an immobile, icy form. Though this petrification only remains while a frozen creature is within close proximity to the yeti, it will often like to take those it petrifies to its lair as a trophy.

In some cases, the cave that a Glacial Yeti calls home will contain several petrified victims who had accidentally gotten too close to the creature's lair.

It should be noted that not only are these creature quite vulnerable to fire, but heat also temporarily melts away its natural armor, making it much more manageable to hit with melee weaponry.

Resistances And Weaknesses: The Glacial Yeti is immune to Ice damage but is vulnerable to fire damage.

Abilities:

Glacial Hide: The crystaline spikes of ice that coat the Yeti make it quite difficult to hit without harming yourself. When making a melee attack against the yeti, if your finesse is less than 12, roll 1d6. On a roll of 1-2, you sustain 1d6 ice damage. If the Glacial Yeti is dealt Fire damage or is within two spaces of fire for a full turn rotation, for the next hour it loses this ability and its defense is reduced by -2.

Mighty Leap: As a one-handed action, roll 1d6. The Yeti may leap a distance equal to the number rolled. It may only uses this ability once per turn.

Additional Effects: If the yeti has less than half its maximum HP, its accuracy dice increases to 2d6.

Icy Petrification:

Once per 24 hours:

Damage: 3d10 +Strength

Damage Type: Ice

Additional Effects: The Yeti expels a freezing blast of energy from its mouth in a 5-space line. Each creature in that line with defense of 12 or less must roll 1d6. Creatures with speed 13 or greater suffer no additional effects. On a roll of 1-2, a creature's body begins to be overtaken with ice. That creature's movement becomes 0. If that creature is dealt fire damage or if an adjacent creature spends a one-handed action to break this coating ice, this affect ends. Neither of these conditions are met by the beginning of the Yeti's next turn, an affected creature becomes petrified as the ice covers their entire body. This petrification ends after 10 minutes pass or the affected creature is dealt fire damage. As long as a creature petrified creature  is within 10 spaces of the Yeti, this 10-minute timer is paused.
