Cursed Class: Ballerina (Alpha 0.1)
Added 2022-04-27 05:59:23 +0000 UTCBallerinas are lithe and feminine dancers that exude elegance and grace with every move they make. As incredibly graceful dancers, Ballerinas can be found performing in high end districts of the most affluent cities within the Realm of Mortals. While many with a passion for dancing train their entire lives to become professional ballerinas, others are forced into the role when their other talents are replaced with those in ballet by a Mistress of the Troupe.
If a character's class levels are replaced with Ballerina, their stats receive the following augmentations:
HP: +0
Will: +0
MP: +0
Strength: -3
Mind: +0
Defense: -1
Resolve: -1
Finesse: +3
Speed: +0
Awareness: +0
Diplomacy: +2
Knowledge: +0
Physicality: -2
Subtlety: +0
When a character's class levels are replaced with Ballerina class levels, they automatically gain the following abilities.
Elegant form: If an attack or ability would cause you to be moved from your current space, you may roll 1d6, adding your resolve. If the total is greater than the source of this effect's finesse, you are unaffected by the repositioning effect. (Other relevant effects from that attack or ability such as damage are not prevented this way)
Dancer Adept: When making rolls to dance, you may use your Finesse rather than your Physicality
Ballerina Mind: Your mind is full of memories of practicing for elaborate ballet shows with your troupe. Whether these memories are genuine or are a result of magic that gained you Ballerina class levels varies.
Ballerina's Form: You are female if you weren't already. You are compelled to stand on your toes at all times. Due to this meticulous way of walking, your movement is reduced by 1 unless you use a one-handed action on your turn to concentrate on moving. Additionally, if you would wear non-Tutu clothes or armor, those items immediately transform into a Basic Ballerina Tutu. If you unequip that Tutu, it returns to its original form.
For each additional class level after one that is replaced with Ballerina class levels, gain one of the following abilities. Based on the circumstance, a GM may have the source of the Ballerina class levels dictate which abilities are taken rather than the player.
Jeté: When you would sustain damage, you may spend 5 MP to move up to half you movement in any one horizontal direction.
Solidarity of the Troupe: (You may take this ability up to three times) Whenever you would roll a dice to resolve the effect of an enemy's attack, spell, or ability that would cause a status effect, add +1 to your roll for each other Ballerina within 5 spaces of you.
Troupe's Connection: (You may take this ability up to Five times) At the beginning of your turn, you regain 3 HP, 3 Will, and 3 MP for each other Ballerina within three spaces of you.
Troupe's Defenses: (You may take this ability up to three times) Your defense gets +1 for each ballerina within two spaces of you.
Passion For Dance: Your passion for ballet and dance is so burning that it prevents you from becoming charmed or hypnotized. However, if you are ever encouraged by another creature to dance, you must roll 1d6, adding your resolve. If the total is less than 14, you are compelled to spend your turn dancing.
Dancer's Reposition: As a two-handed action, you may leap, landing in an unoccupied space within this ability's range. This ability's range is equal to half your Finesse rounded up.
Glisser: You may move through spaces occupied by creatures as long as you end your turn in an unoccupied space.
Specialized Tutus: If you would wear magic armor or magic clothes, rather than them being temporarily turned into a Basic Ballerina Tutu by the Ballerina's form ability, it is turned into a Specialized Tutu. As a specialized, this tutu incorporates visual elements of that armor or clothing and retains its abilities and benefits. However, if you remove a specialized tutu, it does not transform back into its original form.
Choreograph: (You may only gain this ability if you have 5 or more levels in the Ballerina class). As a one-handed action, you may choose an allied creature within five spaces of you. That creature can immediately move up to half its movement. If that creature is a ballerina, it can move its full movement instead and it gains +1 finesse and resolve until the end of its next turn.
Evasive Twirl: (You may only gain this ability if you have 10 or more levels in the Ballerina class). If you would be targeted with a single-target attack or spell from a source you can see, you may roll 1d6, adding your finesse. If the total is greater than the attacker's finesse, you may move to an unoccupied adjacent space. If you do, the spell or attack misses. You may use this ability once per turn rotation for every five class levels in Ballerina you have.
