Progress Report

Howdy!

It's time for another progress report! Has it been a week already? I don't even remember, and I'm not going to go back through my posts to check. No, today is the perfect day for a progress report because today also marks the end of the latest feature vote among high-tier patrons and subscribers!

That's right, I can now share what version 0.38 will be about, though obviously, version 0.37 will need to be finished before I can get to work on it. More on that later.

The four options that were available to vote for were:

On SubscribeStar, which currently has fewer people with voting power than Patreon, the lead was tied between Perversity 6 and Sister Agnes, with 3 votes each. On Patreon, however, Perversity 6 took a dominating lead from the very beginning, grabbing a hefty 19 out of 40 votes for itself and leaving its competition in the dust. No other option came even close to it.

So, it appears that the time has finally arrived for me to finish implementing Perversity 6, a feature that people have been requesting for literally years. To keep expectations in check, I'm going to state right away that I'm going to limit just how expansive this update will be, or I would be stuck working on it for half a year. Because of updates to the Daz Studio rendering engine since I originally made many of the Long Live the Princess scenes, I may have to render some of the night scenes all over again. This alone is a massive task, and I would likely improve animation quality while I'm at it. I'm still not 100% sure that I will actually do those things, but we will see once I get a better overview of the update.

Of more interest is probably the content that is missing from these scenes right now. For the most part, I will keep this additional content simple and straightforward to lessen the workload for myself. But simple and straightforward does not mean that it won't be satisfying (or so I hope). I will just keep the options simple, which allows me to create fewer, better scenes instead of a plethora of lower-quality ones.

Anyway, there will be more about this in a future update. For now, I still have version 0.37 to focus on. Right now, I can tell you that all the animations for this update are fully posed and working, and I am in the process of rendering the final few camera angles. As mentioned in the previous progress report, I ended up having to make two versions of each image and animation in this scene: one for daytime and one for the night. There is no other scene in the game that allows for this, making for a fun change to the formula. Also, Belle has never looked as pretty as she does in a few of these new shots. 

Anyway, this progress report has gone on for long enough.

She will feature new secrets to solve, which is a very demanding, time-consuming process. I want her to be a full-fledged character, though not to the same scale as someone like Evelyn or Callie.

Why does the content for Sister Agnes require 2 updates? I'm genuinely curious what the workload entails for her.
