Progress Report

Work continues on version 0.35 of Long Live the Princess, but that hasn't stopped me from looking ahead. After working on the endgame for so long, it feels quite unusual not to know exactly what I will be working on from one update to the other. To leverage this freedom, I decided to run a poll for Wizard and Grandmaster tier backers. I asked them what they wanted me to focus on for version 0.36 out of 5 options (Callie, the Fairy Queen, Sister Agnes, Perversity 6, and Nell).

The winner was Callie and her romance path, so I will be looking at implementing that once 0.35 is done. This means that 0.36 will allow you to reach girlfriend status with Callie if you so desire, and you will be able to pick her in the end, along with an updated epilogue. I have additional plans for her that I will attempt to fit into that same update. In general, you can expect me to introduce slightly more "fetishy" content in some cases from now on. However, this will always be in situations that are not mandatory to the main storyline and nothing extreme. I have something like that in mind with Callie. More on that later.

Apart from that, this week has been another productive one. The basic implementation of NG+ is almost complete. Right now, you get to bring along your ability scores into NG+, along with most of your minor spells. This includes Dispel Magic, Probe Memory, Morph Sexuality, and once it's implemented, Deep Sleep. 

In those cases where advancing an ability is strongly tied to story events, you will still have to train that ability in NG+. However, you won't actually advance your ability score by doing so. For example, if you have Agility 5 upon entering NG+, you will still have to train levels 2-5 like usual. For all ability checks, however, your Agility will still count as 5. Only then are you allowed to train level 6, which increases your Agility as expected. Abilities that are not as tied to the story, such as Perversity and Charisma, will not need training in the same way. Ability books that you have already read will not appear at all in NG+, nor will minor spellbooks you have already mastered. 

All of this is fully implemented and working in my development build. 

I have also wholly remade Evelyn's first sex scene, improved Evelyn's titjob scene, and made a large number of other changes that I never had the time to before. I expect to spend much of my remaining time on 0.35 making improvements like these. I fully intend to bring every sex scene in the game up to the same standards as the ones towards the end.

Right now, I am remaking Belle's first sex scene. It's good to get these ones out of the way, as they are from the time when I thought making two images and swapping between them would make for sufficiently good "animation."

So, that's it for this week. Excellent progress that I hope will continue in the weeks to come. I don't know how long I'll be working on this version before releasing it. I kind of want to get as many of the minor features completed as possible before I have to dive into the big ones again, so we'll see.
