I'm happy to report that the big scene I was working on is complete and playtested. This removes a massive obstacle from 0.34's path and lets me move directly into the epilogues. I have looked forward to this for quite some time, and it's a significant change of pace from my earlier work with LLtP.
Basically, the epilogues are a collection of images and accompanying text that illustrates what happens to the various characters after the game's events. They need to cover an enormous amount of choices and possibilities, which means there are many of them. I am currently looking at a list of 61 images to create, and I expect that list to grow as I implement these things. Luckily, I already have 14 of them ready to go, so I have already taken care of a significant chunk of the required work.
I feel like many of the more unique epilogues will show up only when you fail at your main quest. Some characters may end up in surprising or depressing places, depending on what happened to them during the main story. If everything went well, however, the tone should be overall bittersweet.
Unless you made all the women in town your girlfriend at the same time, you poor, poor fool...

I settled for being very affectionate friends with Callie and Primrose, and I don't think Samarra wants anything more from me than (1) saving the princess(es) and (2) treating Nell right (and I really, really hope all Lilith wants is the former), but I'm already in trouble with Nell as it is. I hope she doesn't take it out on Evelyn. Pixie Belle is, of course, absolutely in favor of me enjoying myself with everyone (except, of course, the Leanan Sidhe), but the others are going to be upset. Especially since any or all of the humans except Callie (who made her opinions on the subject very clear), and possibly some of the ladies of Faerie, might now be pregnant. (I haven't *technically* deceived any of them about the spell; it was still in effect when I told Nell about it, Lilith didn't bother to check whether it had been dispelled, and Evelyn prefers it gone. I didn't really want to hurt Nell either; made the mistake of thinking it was less bad to threaten to break up with her rather than mess with her head from the inside again. Stupid me.)
