AAVJ 2025.2470 is here with a number of feature additions, as well as fixing some bugs that were outstanding
NEW FEATURES:
Relays
- route video from any layer or group to any other layer with a ‘Relay’ under the ‘Utilities’ lister.
Loading Status window
- In order to provide a consistent and stable project loading experience, I’ve built out a Project Loader / Status Window to break up the initialization sequence into separate processes. This allows users to know what step of initialization process they’re on.
- This also includes a splash image that is sourced from select images from the NEW #gallery channel! Post your favorite screenshots of your work with your IG and/or YouTube handles, and users may see your work pop up whenever they load a new project!
Show Comp Alpha in Monitor
- This is a new checkbox item in the general settings that will allow you to turn on or off the alpha preview driven by the 'Composition' level slider. This alpha was removed from the monitor to still allow users to see their output even if they were blacked out, but this was a little confusing. So now, you can choose to have that on or off, off by default.
Templates - Create a folder called 'Templates' in your Assets/Scenes folder to store template scenes. These are accessible when you double right click > 'Create New'
Bug Fixes:
Spout Outputs
- Spout outputs can now be renamed
Scene Population
- i’ve hopefully mitigated the bug users were experiencing that was populating a cascading set of already existing scenes when using the 'Assets' lister. If this issue persists, please drop a comment here.
Scene thumbnails very dim in Experimental Builds
- Something changed in the new experimental versions in regards to container alpha blending. This should be fixed in this version.
Can’t change blend mode in Experimental builds
- This should be fixed in this build.
Release can be found on the GitHub: https://github.com/anti-alias-arts/AAVJ-2025/releases
or by visiting the 'Check for Updates' button inside the AAVJ settings dialog. (If someone could test this out for me, that would be awesome!)
Thanks all!
