Info for new joiners / FAQ / Cheat Codes

Hey there, so glad to have you here as a supporter of Tomb of Destiny!

As Patreon posts are not the most comfortable or organized way to find information, I assembled the most important infos here in this post/FAQ.

It will always be linked in the top pinned post so you should be able to find it easily (It is very stupid by Patreon that it's not possible to pin multiple posts...)

What is this game currently - Alpha? Beta? Early Access??

I'd like to think of it as an early access alpha, as in, new features are still being added and the existing ones may or may not improve/change.

However, instead of having 20 unfinished features that barely work, I focus on getting everything that's included in an update to a well-tested and functioning state.

The downside is, that there will always be a limit as to how far you can progress in the story before the next update.

So think of it a bit like a series, where you have to have some patience before the next episode is released. Once all episodes are done, you can "binge" the whole game ;-) .

I don't know what to do next in the game / Is this the end of the current version?

I try to give more or less subtle hints in the game to make this more clear. So please pay attention to any "Developer Notes" popping up, and also refer to the in-game info panel.

Generally speaking though, the best source of information here are the changelogs. They give a clear overview of all the new content that is added in an update and usually also a clue how to access them.

I can't solve puzzle XY! / This game is too grindy!

Have you checked out the "Story mode" difficulty in the settings? It is meant to provide a very streamlined, least-resistance experience. If you are still having problems or consider it too grindy, please let me know and I will try to adjust the game mechanics accordingly.
