An iron hook at the end of a spiked chain that seems to swing and strike with a mind of its own.
You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon, which deals piercing damage instead of the normal slashing, and you cannot be disarmed of it. While attuned to this weapon, you can command it with your mind, wielding it even if you do not have a free hand. The whip must be worn or attached to you to command it this way.
Pierce Flesh. When you hit a creature with this weapon, you can choose to grapple the creature with it (using your stats for the escape DC). While a creature is grappled by this weapon, you cannot make attacks with it. A creature grappled by this weapon can use an action to automatically escape from the grapple by taking 3d6 piercing damage.
The arsenal of those versed in pain and the deliverance of it is without limits. But sometimes, the simplest tools are best for the occasion.
