Date with a Demoness (Patreon Exclusive)

"One large 'Shot in the Dark', black, no sugar, with an extra shot," The brooding, horned woman said, tapping a claw on her lip as she stared up at the menu.

The bored cashier didn't so much as look up. "Do you want the whip?"

Yellow cats eyes blinked in surprise. "What? I didn't even bring a- Oh, you mean whipped cream. Yes, please."

"Name?"

"Lilith."

"Okay, it'll-"

"That's Lilith," the succubus repeated. "With a 'th' at the end. 'Lil-ith'."

"Yeah, sure, whatever. We'll call out your name when it's done."

Lilith was skeptical, but she stepped out of line and found a seat by the counter. A few people gave her strange looks as she tucked in her wings and took out her phone, but nobody bothered her.

'I'm by the counter, you should be able to recognize me from my photo,' she sent.

Checking her socials, Lilith scrolled through Fatebook, checking up on what her friends where up to. Mostly torture, some tempting, a little damnation. The usual.

"Shot in the Dark for Lily!"

Rolling her eyes, she stood and stepped over to the bar. "Excuse me?"

"Uh-huh?" the barista asked.

She pointed at the drink. "Is this mine?"

"Uh, yeah."

"Lily?" She raised an arch eyebrow. "I've made men wail in eternal pain for lesser insults."

The barista rolled his eyes, reaching past her to set down another drink. "Mocha for Brian?"

Lilith scowled, snatched her drink, and stalked back to her seat.

A second later, she got a response, popping up with a little notification. 'You've got a new notification on Sizzr!'

The app was largely just for people trying to find casual hookups, but that made Lilith more comfortable - she could navigate the world of casual sex more easily than the world of intimate dating.

She opened the app. There was a message from Anna. 'Hah! You're so funny. I just parked.'

Lilith smiled, sipped her coffee, and watched for her date.

Anna was as pretty as her profile photo suggested. She was a tiny, dainty little thing, maybe five feet in heels, with a button noise and golden, curly hair. If she'd never been called 'Goldilocks' by some smartass or another, Lilith would eat her horns.

When Anna saw Lilith, though, she blinked and stared. "You're-"

"Exactly like I look in the pictures?" Lilith offered, smirking. "Thanks. It's natural!"

"I'd assumed you were just into cosplay." Anna blinked, looking her up and down. "Er…"

Lilith's wings twitched. "And when I wrote, 'I am literally a succubus, this is not a joke, I am a demon, seriously I'm not kidding'?"

"Well, right below that you wrote, 'looking for someone to settle down with'," Anna pointed out. "I just assumed…"

"What, just because I lure wicked people to an erotic doom means I can't have a personal life?" Lilith stared, harshly. "I knew this was a waste of time."

Anna shook her head, fiddling with her hair. "No! It's just… surprising. So you're not trying to steal my soul, right."

"I swear to hell," Lilith promised.

"Let me order, then."

Anna walked over to the counter, leaving Lilith to wait for her return.

Lilith tapped her foot, telling herself she didn’t feel anxious while waiting for Anna to return. You’ve seduced hundreds of mortals, she reminded herself. An actual date shouldn’t be any more difficult.

When Anna sat down next to her a moment later, Lilith almost blurted out, “So, uh, what do you do?”

Anna raised an eyebrow curiously, then said, “I work as a software analyst.”

“Oh, cool.” Lilith bit her lip. “So, uh… what does that mean?”

Anna tucked her hair behind her ears, her gaze darting up to Lilith’s horns a couple times while she tried not to stare. “Basically, I’m the person in between the developers and the users. It’s not my dream job, really, but it pays the bills. What about you?”

“Oh, I seek out wicked dabblers of the black arts and seduce them for supernatural control and power,” Lilith shrugged. “Have you seen ‘Jennifer’s Body’?”

“No,” Anna said.

“Well, it’s… not really anything like that.” She pursed her lips. “Er…”

The conversation was paused by the barista calling out, “One cinnamon mocha for Nana?”

“That’s me, I think,” Anna said. “Just a sec.” She got up, retrieving her drink. When she returned, she asked, “So, how tall are you anyways?”

Lilith had to convert from meters to feet in her head, doing quick calculations before she replied. “Like… six one? Six five with the horns. And my wingspan is, like, five feet when they’re fully extended.”

Anna giggled, sipped her coffee, and thought for a moment on where to take the conversation next.

“Er… you want to hear a funny story from this guy I enthralled a few weeks ago?”

“Sure,” Anna shrugged.

“So there’s this guy, he’s the CEO or something of some big mortal business. Real creep, really needing to face some cosmic justice and all that - you know, the kind of person just asking to learn a lesson. And I start the usual rigamarole, dancing around the fringes of his life, leaving strange symbols and cryptic warnings - to make it fair, you know.”

“Right, gotta be fair,” Anna said, smirking.

“Uh-huh. So, like a week into the process, just when I’m about to make my first move, he starts acting strange. Not like he’s noticed what I’m doing, he didn’t go find a priest or something to chase me off, he was just acting different. I get worried, figuring maybe he’s going to turn his life around and swear off hedonism before I can act, so I move in, start turning up the supernatural charms.” Lilith shook her head. “And he’s just not buying in like he should. Sure, he’s interested, but he’s not treating me like the finest body he’s ever laid eyes on - I practically have to argue him into taking me home. Which just doesn’t happen, not to me.”

Anna sipped her coffee, politely amused by the whole story. “Did you figure out why?”

“Well it turned out, he’d been double booked. This incubus I know, Ma-lacth’cht, had already started seducing him - and the creep decided he could try and arrange the two of us into some sort of threesome. Can you believe that? One demoness in his bed wasn’t enough, he wanted two.”

Tilting her head, Anna asked, “Wait, demoness? I thought you said that Ma-la… er… I thought you said your friend was an incubus?”

Lilith chuckled. “That’s a common misunderstanding. ‘Incubus’ and ‘Succubus’ aren’t genders, they’re more like… job titles, I guess. Or preferences. They’re based in latin, ‘Incubus’ and ‘Succubus’ translates roughly to ‘to lie on’ and ‘to lie beneath.’ So Ma-lacth’cht’s a top, basically.”

“Oh, I see,” Anna said, thinking about that for a moment. A spark of understanding played across her expression, and she reached out, setting her hand on Lilith’s. “So that would mean you’re submissive.”

“Until I steal away their souls,” Lilith said.

Anna’s grip tightened around Lilith’s wrist, squeezing just enough that Lilith would have had to use force to jerk away. “But you said you weren’t planning on stealing my soul, now, were you?”

“Er…” Lilith’s cheeks, naturally red, turned a darker shade. “No, I wasn’t…”

“And,” Anna continued, “Are your ‘preferences’ the same outside of the workplace?”

Lilith’s eyes widened at how forward her date was being. “I- well, generally, yes.”

The grip around her wrist tightened. For as small as she was, Anna had strong hands. Not supernaturally strong, but for a mortal, it was considerable. “So you like to have someone else in a position of domination over you, Lilith?”

Lilith stared into her eyes, blushing in spite of herself. “... yes.”

Her grip suddenly relaxing, Anna took her hand back and sipped her coffee, beaming innocently. “Okay! I was just curious.”

“Bu- wait, what?” Lilith blinked, struggling to keep up with the sudden change in tone.

“I just wanted to know what your work was like!” Anna said, cheerfully. “What are you confused about?”

“I thought… Er… Never mind.”

“Wait, you thought I’d just make a move on you like that, right here in the cafe?” Anna tilted her head and leaned back, shocked. “We barely know each other, and you’re already expecting that from me?”

“No!” Lilith said. “I mean- Well...” Crap, I don’t know how to flirt when I’m not seducing someone. How-

Anna laughed. “For all your talk, you fluster easily.”

“I- No I don’t!” Lilith protested.

Raising an eyebrow skeptically, Anna leaned in, half whispering. “So when I took your wrist, you weren’t thinking about how easily I could control you? How I could force you down on your knees with just a little effort and- Oh my god you are blushing so much.”

“No I’m not!” Lilith said, as she blushed so much.

“‘I’m a seductress!’, she says. ‘I’ve enthralled men with my sexy powers!’, she says. And then I barely whisper about controlling her and she falls apart,” Anna teased.

“Well, it’s-” For a moment, Lilith stammered, feeling the need to defend herself. “It’s different when I’m on a real date and not just working.”

“Uh-huh,” Anna rolled her eyes. “Sure it is.”

“It is!” Lilith exclaimed. “I’ve experienced the depths of depravity and come out unphased - There’s not a desire I haven’t helped fulfil! You’re just… erm…”

“I’m just what?” Anna asked.

“Normally when I do the seducing, my victims don’t know so much about my background, I guess. That must be it.”

Anna reached up, deliberately, grabbing one of Lilith’s horns. Anna pulling her down, the force gentle but insistent, so that they were at eye level with each other and only inches apart. “Or maybe, you’ve just finally found someone who’s got your number,” she said. “You didn’t go looking for dates on a hookup app because you wanted someone you could seduce like all the others. You were looking for someone who actually knew how to take charge.”

Lilith didn’t know what to say. “I… Okay, that’s a fair point.”

“So,” Anna said, letting go of her horn. “Are you going to tell me about all that depravity?”

“I don’t think that’s necessary,” Lilith said, leaning back and sipping her drink.

“You brought it up, not me,” Anna pointed out. “Tell me.”

“Well… A lot of the standard stuff. Whips, chains, rope. Some people like to tie me up, or spank me, or make me wear, eh, diapers…”

“Diapers?” Anna asked, smirking. “So you enjoy being forced to wear diapers, then.”

“It’s just something that other people have brought up!” Lilith said, quickly.

“You just slid that one into the list at the end next to two really basic things by coincidence, then,” Anna said. “You weren’t trying to suggest anything at all. Out of all the things you’ve done, you decided to mention diapers, and it was purely by coincidence.”

Lilith shook her head. “No!”

“I didn’t think so.”

“I mean- Yes?”

“So you wouldn’t like it if I asked you to wear a diaper for me?” Anna raised an eyebrow. “If I forbade you to use the bathroom, and forbade you to change yourself, so that you had to earn my approval just to change your soggy, heavy diapers?” Lilith turned pink, and Anna’s smirk widened. “The blush doesn’t lie, Lilith. You might say otherwise, but your mouth tells me the whole story.”

Lilith bit her lip, whispering below her breath. “Fffuck…”

“I’ll be honest,” Anna said. “When I first saw you, I was a little uncertain. The big, strong demoness, all intimidating and powerful, it’s a striking look.”

“Thank you,” Lilith said. She did like that she could strike fear in the hearts of mortals, when she wanted to.

“Once I figured out you were just a helpless little baby, though, desperate for someone to trap her in crinkly diapers, well…” Anna smiled. “I realized that looks could be deceiving. The only thing I’m confused about is, why aren’t you wearing a diaper already?”

“Because…” Lilith said. “I don’t need them.”

“Don’t lie,” Anna shook her head. “You steered the conversation here, not me. You wanted this. Why didn’t you tell me the truth from the beginning, and wear a diaper to meet me, like a good girl?”

“I…” Lilith shook her head. “No, I didn’t. I didn’t steer the conversation here, you pushed it this way. It wasn’t my idea at all.”

“So you didn’t direct the conversation consciously,” Anna corrected. “That just means you’re a baby in denial.”

“I…” Lilith said, mouth agape as she thought about it. Did I really push the conversation in this direction? Or is she exaggerating?

Anna cut off her introspection with a question. “Do you want to get out of here?”

There was no hesitation in Lilith’s answer. “Yes.”

“Did you drive?”

“I flew.”

“Right.” Anna smiled. “Well, I brought my car, if you wanted to come back to my place. First, though… We should stop by a pharmacy, and correct the mistake you made when you decided to pretend you were big enough to wear panties.”

Comments

I'll definitely be putting a sequel to this on next month's Patreon poll, but I can't say for sure. I tried to write it so that it was satisfying as a standalone, but I've got lots of ideas for what to do with these characters if the story continues.

Will this be multipart or a one off story?
