Baby Shoto #2 (Commission)

Hizashi leaned into the microphone, watching the aftermath of the cavalry battle as the students dispersed for lunch. “I can’t believe it, folks! What a stunning turn of events!”
“Hmm,” Shoto mumbled to the side. “It’s an imbalanced contest. The last thirty seconds mattered more than the rest combined.”
Trying to host with someone as much of a downer as Shota was difficult, but Hizashi did his best to keep up the energy. “It was incredible!”
“Hmm.”
From the back of the room, Nemuri Kayama, Midnight, walked in. Strutting straight towards Shota, she beckoned him with a finger. “It’s time.”
It was hard to tell Shota’s expression, but Hizashi could have sworn he was blushing beneath all his bandages. Eraser Head grumbled, but Nemuri pulled on the back of his collar and he got up, shuffling after her.
Sitting back, Hizashi tried to think how to fill the airtime between events. As he considered it, Shota’s voice echoed through the loudspeakers, his lav mic still in range. “I don’t think this is necessary.”
Nemuri’s voice was a little quiet and muffled, only getting picked up by Shota’s mic, but it was still clear enough to be heard. “Nonsense. With all those bandages on your hands, how are you going to change your own diapers?”
Now that was an event. Picking up his mic, Hizashi all but shouted into it. “Ladies and gentlemen, it appears that Eraser Head has forgotten to turn off his microphone, and he is now having his diaper changed by none other than the Eighteen Plus Hero, Midnight!”
“Lay down,” Midnight’s voice said, and Hizashi leaned in to the audio board, adjusting levels so that her voice would be more clear. “And I’ll get you all taken care of.”
“Could it just be a formality?” Hizashi cried, hyping up the crowd. This was real drama. “Maybe Eraser Head just needs her help to use the toilet- Will we find out?”
Shota’s voice came through, crisp and clear despite all the bandages on his face. “I only wet a little. You didn’t need to come up here on your break to help me.”
“Shh,” Nemuri replied, her voice echoing out into the stadium just like Shota’s. “We’ll get you nice and cleaned up, okay?”
Hizashi scooped up the microphone, standing to exclaim, “You heard it here first, folks! Shoto Aizawa has wet his diapers! That’s right, he has wet his diapers! We can only imagine what’s going to happen next!”
Falling silent, he listened as something rustled through Shota’s microphone. “Oooh, you had quite the little accident, didn’t you?” Nemuri cooed. “Do you want to hold your teddy while I clean you up?”
“He owns a teddy bear!” Hizashi exclaimed, working up the crowd. This was the best drama he’d experienced outside of the actual competition since he’d started working for the academy. “Nobody could have seen this coming! Will he ask for it?”
“Y… yes, please,” Shota mumbled. “Thank you.”
“He asked for it!” Hizashi cheered.
“Of course, little one,” Nemuri said, gently. “Here you go. Now, lie back and I’ll get you all cleaned up. Alright?”
“Alright.”
A few seconds passed, with only the sound of wipes and subtle crinkling to fill the airtime. “She’s changing his diaper!” Hizashi said. “Will there be powder, or-”
“Now, let’s get some powder so you don’t get a rash,” Nemuri said.
“There will be powder! This is incredible!”
“Just two more tapes, and then you’ll all be nice and snug in your fresh diaper. Remember, if you make a stinky, you can call me and I’ll come clean you up right away.”
“I remember,” Shota mumbled, sitting up. “Thanks, mommy.”
Hizashi raised the microphone up to his lips. “He! Called! Her! Mommy!”
Outside his booth, the crowd went wild.
A few moments later, the door to the back opened, and Shota shuffled in. Hizashi could smell a waft of baby powder, and glancing over his shoulder, he spotted Nemuri tucking a stuffed bear into her purse.
Shota walked back up to his chair, sitting down and leaning forward. Only after a moment did he notice Hizashi’s enthusiastic grin.
“... What?”
