Once the appeal begins to wear off after a bit, she finds that she no longer has any choice in not wearing them."
Enjoy!
“Um, do you have a package for Mackenzie Barrow?”
The postal worker looked a little bored, checking a list on her computer. “Wait here a moment.”
Mackenzie nodded, shifting her weight from foot to foot as the post officer walked to the back room to get her parcel. The website said ‘discreet shipping’, right?
It came out on a dolly. The box was so big it almost came up to the postal worker’s waist, and it was mostly a square.
Uh, what?
“Sign here.”
Mackenzie took the clipboard, signed, and passed the pen back. Bending, she picked up the package, testing its weight. It wasn’t heavy, just bulky, and way, way bigger than she’d expected.
That was a problem.
Lugging it out past the other people in line, Mackenzie stepped outside, set down the box, and looked between it and her motorcycle. Yeah, that’s not going to work.
Pulling out her phone, she sent a text. ‘Bells, are you home? I need a favor.’
A message from Bella beeped a second later. ‘Yeah. What’s up?’
Mackenzie’s roommate showed up about ten minutes later, driving a compact hatchback. Pulling up and parking, she took a look at the box, blinking. “Jeez, Kenz. What did you order?”
“Eh, I’d rather not talk about it,” Mackenzie said. “I didn’t realize the box would be this big.”
“Well, get the mystery box loaded.” Bella popped the back, raising it and making some room for the large box. “Are you just going to follow me back?”
“Yeah, that way I won’t have to come back for my bike.” Mackenzie hefted the box into place, ensured that the back could close, and added, “Thanks for the help.”
“No problem.”
Mackenzie tried not to show how nervous she was. If Bella looked in the box, that would lead to a very, very awkward conversation. Just getting her help at all felt like a risk, but there wasn’t another good way to get the case home.
...
Mackenzie ended up parking right next to Bella in their apartment building’s garage.
“Need a hand with that?” Bella asked, unlocking the back.
“No, thanks, I’ve got it.” Mackenzie hefted the huge box, shuffling towards the elevator.
They rode up, Bella got the door, and Mackenzie finally got the package to her room.
Jeez, that was more stressful than I’d hoped. At least the box was as discreet as the supplier had promised. It was just plain cardboard, with a simple shipping label from a generic address. Ensuring that her door was locked, Mackenzie ripped the tape and opened the case, wiggling in excitement as she inspected the contents.
Diapers. Packages upon packages of white, fluffy diapers, with a printed receipt set on top.
She briefly glanced at the receipt and spotted her mistake. She’d meant to order a pack, not a case, which is why the box was so huge. With eight packs to a case, she had more than plenty to get through. Setting the paper on her nightstand, she turned her attention back to the package.
Privacy came first. She emptied the box, moved all the plastic packages to her closet, covered them with a blanket, and disassembled the cardboard. Discretion was the better part of valor, and she had absolutely no interest in having to explain to Bella what she’d ordered and why.
Carrying the old box out to the elevator, she rode it down to the recycling bin, threw it away, and went back up.
No more excuses to delay. Avoiding Bella, she locked her bedroom door once again, went to the closet, and took out a single pack. Ripping it with a fingernail, she opened the package, took out one of the diapers, and turned it over in her hands.
The plastic backing was smooth to the touch, rustling slightly. There was a perfumed smell to it, subtle but pleasant, and the soft give as she felt the interior made her squirm with anticipation.
She couldn’t wait any longer. Kicking off her shoes, she stripped out of her pants, dropped her panties to the floor, and laid down on the bed. Raising her hips, she fumbled with the tapes, adjusting a couple times, grateful for the hook-and-loop design that let her adjust things until she got it right.
It was as comfortable as she’d hoped. The soft rustle as she sat up, the gentle warmth and reassuring bulk between her legs, it was better than she’d imagined. Running a hand over the front, she felt it press into her and wiggled in excitement.
Now, to try something else. Picking her pants up off the ground, she tugged them on, zipping and buttoning over the diaper. Standing, she turned and looked, checking her waist from all angles, seeing if the bulge was obvious.
It wasn’t. Maybe you could tell if you knew what you were looking for, but it wasn’t something that’d be visible to a passing glance, or even a direct stare.
Returning the package to her closet, Mackenzie covered it up, kicked her panties under the bed, and walked out her room.
“Hey, Bells. You still want to watch that new documentary show together?”
Bella grinned. “I’ll make popcorn!”
…
Three hours and five cans of coke later, Mackenzie couldn’t hold it any more, which was exactly what she’d hoped for. A blanket over her waist for extra stealth, she’d been doing her best to fill her bladder as they marathoned the show together, so that she’d have no excuse.
And, now, there was no holding back. When Bella got up to refill her own drink, Mackenzie held her breath, relaxed, and for the first time since she was little, began to wet her diaper.
Hot urine splattered against the padding, rushing down, surging and swelling into the padding. For a panicked second, Mackenzie thought it was going to overwhelm the absorbency of the pulp, but as she continued to flood her diaper, it caught up, soaking up every last drop.
“What’d I miss?” Bella asked, taking her seat next to Mackenzie.
“Uh,” Mackenzie said, having completely lost focus on the show. “I spaced out for a second. You’ll have to rewind.”
The thrill of the accident made her heart beat with excitement, and Mackenzie’s thoughts drifted to the stacks of diapers in her closet. She had a lot of it to get through, and as long as she was working from home, there was no reason for her not to use them, right?
…
It took three days for the charm to wear off. With a lidded trash can stashed in her closet, Mackenzie had a convenient place to dispose of her soggy diapers, and Bella didn’t notice.
By the second day, though, the inconvenience was starting to outweigh the fun. Having to constantly make sure her shirt was pulled down over her waistband, checking to see whether her diaper could take another soaking, and the general hassle of changing wasn’t a big deal, but the fun of ‘getting away with it’ around Bella was starting to get stale.
She tried messing once, but if changing a wet diaper was a hassle, changing a dirty one was a chore. She’d had to wrap up the diaper in a trash bag and smuggle it out to the dumpster while Bella was out buying groceries. It had been briefly fun, but it was ultimately something she decided to reserve for special occasions.
As she took the last diaper out of her first pack, Mackenzie decided it was time to take a break once it was used up. There was no rush, after all. Dropping her sodden, old diaper in the trash can, she shut her closet, made sure no signs of diapers were visible, and left her room to get some breakfast.
“Morning, Kenz,” Bella said, in the middle of pouring cereal.
“Morning, Bells,” Mackenzie replied. “How’s your morning been?”
“Kinda gross,” Bella admitted. “I was taking out the trash, and there was a racoon in the apartment’s dumpster. Someone threw away an adult diaper in there, and the racoon had ripped open the bag, so it reeked pretty bad.”
“Heh, that’s, uh,” Mackenzie said, hoping that her cheeks weren’t as pink as they felt. “Weird.”
“Yeah.” Bella shrugged, adding milk over her cheerios. “Can you imagine that? A grown adult, just taking a crap in their pants like they’re a little kid.”
Mackenzie forced a laugh, though she couldn’t come up with much of a response.
Bella went on, not noticing how fake her roommate’s reactions were. “I’m curious if it was someone in the building or not, but I guess we’ll probably never know. It’s not like anyone’s just going to share that they’re incontinent with us.”
“P-probably.” Avoiding looking at Bella, Mackenzie dug in the freezer for some toaster waffles.
“Oh, speaking of which,” Bella said.
Mackenzie jumped in alarm.“Huh? Speaking of what?”
“Sharing,” Bella said. “I was wondering if I could borrow your phone charger. Mine isn’t working right, and my phone’s close to dead. I can go get a replacement cable in a few hours, but-”
“Oh.” Mackenzie sighed in relief, nodding. “Yeah, sure thing. It’s on my nightstand.”
“Thanks.” Bella pushed to her feet, strolling into Mackenzie’s room.
That was a close call, Mackenzie thought, taking a few deep breaths as she turned on the toaster. I thought she’d found out about-
“Uh… Kenz?” Bella called from inside Mackenzie’s bedroom. “Um… What’s this?”
Mackenzie’s heart dropped so low it felt like it had landed somewhere inside her diaper. Rushing over, she said, “What’s… what…”
Bella was holding a piece of paper, skimming it. “Uh… why do you have a receipt from an incontinence supply company?”
What? I threw that out, didn’t I? Mackenzie stared at the paper, in shock. “I… um…”
Looking up at her, Bella’s expression softened. “Oh, jeez, Kenz, I’m so sorry. I had no idea- Oh, god, and I was joking about it, and I helped you with that package, and… What happened?”
Mackenzie stared like a deer in the headlights. “I… I don’t need… Um...”
“I’m such an ass,” Bella said, setting down the paper. “Look, it’s none of my business. You’re my best friend, no matter what troubles you might be having. If you don’t want to talk about it, I won’t push you, but-”
“It’s, uh, hereditary,” Mackenzie blurted. “The doctor told me it usually skips a couple generations, but, um… yeah.”
“Oh, wow, I’m sorry.” Bella shuffled her feet uncomfortably, blushing sympathetically. “That kind of thing doesn’t really get better, does it?”
“Um… not really,” Mackenzie said, without even thinking about it. Wait, no, shit, “I mean, he’s looking into it, but-”
“But it’ll be a long time, at least,” Bella finished. “I’m so sorry, Kenz, but I promise not to make fun.”
There was a long, uncomfortable silence. Mackenzie didn’t know what to say, and Bella looked almost as embarrassed as she felt.
“Uh, so… can you, like, tell when you’ve had an accident?” Bella asked. “What’s it… like?”
“Not really,” Why did I say that? “I mean, like, I have to check, and, uh… I don’t want to talk about this,” Mackenzie stammered.
Bella shrugged, avoiding eye contact. “Well, if I notice, uh… the smell? Do you want me to say something?”
“I, um… yes, I guess? I should usually notice when- I mean-” Dammit. Stop talking. Just stop- “I tend to smell it right away, once it’s, uh… happened.”
“Oh, wow, you don’t get any warning at all?” Bella raised her eyebrows. “Jeez, that’s… I’m super sorry, Kenz.” After another second, she held up the phone charger she’d come in to borrow. “I guess, uh…”
“Yeah,” Mackenzie said. “Um… yeah.”
Bella started to leave the room, but she stopped before she walked away. “You know you can trust me, right? You didn’t have to keep this a secret. I’m here for you.”
Mackenzie nodded, shutting the door behind her.
Why did you have to keep talking? And why couldn’t you come up with any lies that didn’t suggest you were totally incontinent?
Her gaze drifted to her closet, where seven more packs of diapers were waiting. Suddenly, it didn’t seem like so many.
She’d need to order more before the end of the month. And every month after that.
Crap.
