Digital version of Yomi 2 has new "known cards" feature

We've added a new feature to the digital version of Yomi 2 that shows you the "known cards" at at any given time. This lets you see the cards in the opponent's hand that you should know they have, if you were paying attention. It also lets you see the cards in your own hand that the opponent knows you have.

This is especially useful to see which card they exchanged for (a key feature of the game) if you happened to miss it in the moment. Later on, we'll have asynchronous play. It will be a while before we get to that, but this feature is even more useful in that context where you might make one move per day and forget what's going on.

As mentioned in those notes, we also have made massive improvements to the game's memory management, reducing the amount of RAM needed by a whopping 65%, while improving the load time at first launch and the framerate as well.

As of the moment of this post, we're aware of a bug that causes Midori's dragon form to not work correctly and for random select being broken. We'll issue a hotfix later today to fix both of those issues.

There is also a patrons-only version of Yomi 2. We will often add new characters and features here first.

To play the patrons-only version of Yomi 2, here are the steps.

1. Be a gold or higher patron.

2. Go here and click the "Unlock with Patreon" button to get a steam key: https://gameserver.fantasystrike.com/y2patreon.php

3. In your Steam client, go to Games -> Activate a Product on Steam…” then enter the key you got in step 2.

4. Now "Yomi 2 Playtest" is a new game in your Steam library. Launch that and you will see a lock screen. Click on the Patreon button there to launch your web browser to a page asking you to [Allow] or [Deny] access. Click [Allow] there and the app is unlocked.
