Yomi 2 digital version: Midori and a Tutorial

Our big news is that Midori is now playable in the digital version and there is an in-game tutorial.

Tutorial

--The game now automatically starts you in the tutorial when you launch it for the first time. The tutorial teaches you the various rules of the game piece by piece, through a series of choreographed fights with missions and unlocking more gameplay features as you go.

New Character

--Midori is now playable. His super, Dragon Form, causes him to switch to an entirely different deck, so he's kind of like two characters in one! Midori does have animations for both of his supers, but they don't have sound yet.

Graphics and Sound

--Both of Geiger's supers as well as Rook's super 2 now have sound effects.

--Valerie's Chromatic Orb super animation and Grave's True Power of Storms animation have been slightly adjusted to look a little better.

--Setsuki, Argagarg, and DeGrey now have animation and sound for each of their two super moves.

--Rook, Valerie, and Setsuki now have sound effects for various non-super moves too.

--Grave's wind summon ability and Jaina's arc shot ability now have visual effects when you play them.

--Grave's B and E normal attacks have slightly updated graphics, with his face looking a little different.

MISC

--In mouse mode, mousing over the gem storm card now correctly focuses it (letting it grow slightly), and pressing the space bar while now correctly zooms it.

New card keyword tooltips:

- Light Armor: Beats A, B, and C normals, but they damage you first.

- Armored: Beats faster normal and special attacks, but they damage you first. They can't knock down or get the edge.

- Rock Armor: Beats faster A, B, and C normals, but they damage you first. Their (beaten) attacks can't knock down or get the edge, and you can't combo.

- Break Armor: Ignore the armor of the opponent's move.

- Disabled: Disabled cards can't be used as openers.

- Long Range: Throws are disabled as openers for both players.

To play the new digital version of Yomi 2, here are the steps.

1. Be a gold or higher patron.

2. Go here and click the "Unlock with Patreon" button to get a steam key: https://gameserver.fantasystrike.com/y2patreon.php

3. In your Steam client, go to Games -> Activate a Product on Steam…” then enter the key you got in step 2.

4. Now "Yomi 2 Playtest" is a new game in your Steam library. Launch that and you will see a lock screen. Click on the Patreon button there to launch your web browser to a page asking you to [Allow] or [Deny] access. Click [Allow] there and the app is unlocked.
