The flaws soul fraud has (albeit very few) are central to the story and add a uniqueness to it given that it is Sigils’s/Andrew’s first book and a hell of a book it is. Honestly the grittiness and the urban environment are something else and something you won’t find in any other book. Ironbound is the book that is popular and good and you know it from just looking at the title and cover art. Reading it he blends in a style of writing that does not include excessive maturity (swearing, sexually explicit content, etc) that would discourage younger readers (or even older ones like me) but at the same time making it even more enjoyable for the older readers. It’s also one hell of a book and a ride, cuz man it is good. I wouldn’t compare the two but both are stellar and are some of the best fantasy I’ve ever read if not the best.
