Painting Knights Templar Part 1

today I´m posting the first part of the painting process of our hero gravity exclusive crusader model. Its a great pleasure for me to paint it. The sculpt is by Ivan Mata, and the dynamic powerful pose in motion is a masterpiece for me. He will be available in our shop next week. the print quality will be exact the same you see in the video.
My approach for the painting:
The main goal is menacing atmosphere, without compromise. So I started with the OSL first, because it should lead me from the beginning and inspire me somehow to do the rest, in a corresponding harmony. The preshading is helpful of course, to set the direction for the lights, also add brightness for the bright parts like cloth.
The next session will be uploaded next days with NMM parts. There will be also a part with the leather boots.
