Information about my current situation

Hello you wonderful people, today I’m reaching out with a personal message to let you know that at the moment, I am unable to create content or even pick up a paintbrush. As I already wrote on Discord, two weeks ago I suddenly experienced numbness in both of my feet overnight. After this condition persisted for several days, I was admitted to the hospital to find out what was going on.

After several examinations, it turned out that I have an inflammation of the spinal cord in the thor...

Feru Bust feat. Erik Swinson Part 1

Hello everyone, today I want to share something special with you. I had the pleasure to have the amazing Erik Swinson in my little studio. He had some time to waste within his europe tour, and came to my city and spend some fun time with me. So we had this very spontanious idea to paint something together. This drown bust by Daniel Fernandez was still on my desk, and was waiting for a boxart. Perfect opportunity to paint it together. He did the skin parts, and I am still doing the metal armor...

Painting Ramirez arm NMM part 2

Hey hey, today Im sharing the next session with Ramirez bust and adding the warm enviromental light to see if the effect will work and has the desired impact to the metal. It will be challenging to sort all different light sources on the same plates, I will need multiple terminator shadows to get an realistic result, and it will be also very tricky to make the skin fit to the scene. But that is not my problem, it is future Tamers problem xD

The video is very uncut but at 150% speed, so ...

Painting Ramirez Part 1

Hey hey, hope you are all well and you are excited that the summer finally ends and we can focus on sitting home in the dark and painting miniatures. Best times! XD

I just started the great Ramirez bust, sculpted by my friend Ivan Mata for Juan Sanz. He was so kind and send me a copy, you can get the STL file currently on MMF campain. So check it out.

In this first part I started the hardest part, the metallic bionic arm, and did a blue steel initially.

There are more colo...

Painting Trench Crusade: Hell Knight

Hi, today I want to share the grim dark armor on the hell knight from trench crusade tabletop system with you. I wanted a textured armor and tried things out on this one. The model is printed and not scaled, so it is the original size. The normal infantry troopers are a lot smaller than this one.

For those who are awaiting the steampunk bust campaign, I also want to share the current progress. here are the wip pictures of the second bust. So there is still a way to go but Ivan is doing...

C-3PO Robot Girl Gold NMM

Hey Hey, today I'm sharing a long session about how I built up the layers for this gold NMM of the Robot Girl female C-3PO. It was a long and challenging session and there were moments, I wasn't quite sure what I am doing. For this gold I used GW colors and they are great for this warm saturated scheme. Just try it out yourself. It's been a while I had painted this, but the footage was a bit wild and it took me very long to sort and edit everything. Therefore it is kinda delayed. I hope you l...

Painting Infinity: Yellow Wing and Freehand

Hey Hey, today I am uploading the painting session about the yellow wing of the Tikbalangs model and I also added the freehand number. Painting yellow is always a patience game, and even when I think, I have done it often, I always underrestimate the challenge behind it. I also tried the Ionic High Coverage Yellow as a test for the first time.

I really really enjoy painting this model, also I am aware that it is maybe not as popular as warhammer or known iconic busts. I`m eager to fin...

Painting Infinity: HMG

Hello Legends, finally I was able to upload this painting session about the HMG of the Tikbalangs model. I had a evil flu last week and that cost me a lot of energy and health, and still I feel it is not over yet. So forgive me, my voiceover is a crime!

In this video I wanted a nice contrast to all the blue metal, something more neutral, where the eye can rest, because there will also be yellow against the blue NMM, I wanted to avoid too many colors.

So have fun with the session...

Painting Infinity: Tikbalangs Part 1

First of all big appologies for a very long time without a lifesign, I was ill for almost 2 weeks and my schedule totally became chaotic. I am not appologising for being ill, but for not being transparent and communicative with all of you.

I also had a workshop in a very annoying health state, but it was fun and fulfilling like always.

Today I want to share an unboxing and the start of the Infinity Panoceania Tikbalangs TAG model. It is a very very cool model and the quality is ...

Painting Alistair's blunderbuss (woodgrain)

Hey Hey great people. Today I want to share my sessions of painting Sir Alistair's blunderbuss. The first half is about creating the woodgrain in a more dark and polished/coated wood. It should look noble and quality. The other half is about the metal parts of the rifle in grey metal by just using black and white. Have fun with the video!

Painting Sir Alistair: Head

Hey Hey Legends,

today I share the footage of the skin and hair painting of Sir Alistair with you. It is again quite unedited, mostly the sessions were one shot sessions. So the recordings are a bit long, but most of you supporters already know my type of videos and you're not here because of Reels and Shorts xD. So have fun with the process.

Painting Sir Alistair Copper NMM

Hey wonderful people,

Finally I was able to finish this video of my Sir Alistair bust. It is a custom model by Ivan Mata for my own range, a steampunk light theme, and he should be a part of total 3 busts in future. I'm thinking of a STL campain once they all ready. In the video I start painting his arm plates in a copper metal with using the new IONIC paints mostly. I really enjoyed working with them, but I would not say they are beginner friendly. They need some time to get used to di...

Painting Highway Face

Hey Hey, here is the footage of the face painting of the Sebastian Highway Bust. It is a very strong character and has a lot of facial features to work out. I have tried to paint him as simple as I could, simple doesn't means easy tho xD. There is no crazy lighting this time, as the light is quite central.

Have fun and a great weekend!!!

Painting Sword in NMM

Hey everyone, today I want to share a brief video about swords or blades. In my last workshop we had exactly this task and I was surprised how many people struggled with finding a way to paint it. So I have decided to show one way, which is certainly easier to follow and understand then many NMM kung fu blades you see in the internet. The idea behind it is to keep things as simple as we can, and add more complexity as we need.

Also supporters ask me, what I'm using to dilute my paints, ...

Painting Sebastian Highway Part 1

Hello peeps, today I want to share my start on the very new bust by Ivan Mata, distributed by Juan Sanz Elminiaturista. I really love what Ivan did here, its a paint friendly sculpt with different materials and open pose. Its currently available on MMF frontiers as STL file. And later also as print in my shop, once the files are sent out to the backers. I wanted a light scheme, contrasting his mean appearance, a more elegant version, and decided to paint a blueish metal on his armor. I will a...

Painting Red Hood Part 3

Merry Christmas to all of you!!!!

Today I'm uploading the next part of Red Santa...ehm Hood. I have tried to keep the topics brief but still detailled enough. Still struggle to find the right balance tbh. Red Hood turned out harder then expected, because there isn't too much freeroom for own interpretations when you want to keep the original character of him. It is easier to paint something fantasy and maintain your ususal habits, then to paint something already known and still keep kin...

Mini Matties Twitch NMM session

Hi everyone, today I want to share my yesterday twitch streaming session on Mini Matties channel with you. It was part of his wholesome christmas streaming schedule and I was asked if I could do a NMM instruction session for his community. He was so kind and send me the footage. It was a very nice session and I tried to answer a few community questions. Maybe it will also cover a few of your thoughts. The beautiful model is from Max Magnificent Tribes.

Painting Red Hood Part 2

hey everyone, today I share the second part of my red hood interpretation with you. Excuse me my bad voice over, currently having a cold. But I really want to push this project forward, and it is more tricky than I expected tbh, as I still try to figure out a overall uniform style for him. But I have also learned to be patient with ideas, even when it does mean, I have to come back to certain areas later again. Painting isn't a train trip in one direction. In this part I paint the red mask. ...

Painting DC Red Hood Part 1

Happy Halloween everyone!

Finally I can reveal my personal project exclusivley for my supporters on patreon. This Jason Todd AKA Red Hood model was designed by Stivens Truljio Sanchez, known for several Big Child Creatives sculpts, after I had requested a unique model of this badass DC character. He is a bit under the radar within the more known characters, but in my opinion he looks just cool and deserves a bit more attention. So why not painting a super villian, a welcome change from ...

Congrats to all of you amazing people who joined. Hope we do more challenges in future, be sure you are in the discord group.

Painting Knight Bust

Hey hey everyone. Like I said in the last post, today I want to share the painting process of my initial try on the latest workshop bust. My idea was to start really rough and get finer during the process, without to loose the expressive characteristics of the armor NMM.

The colors of the armor were shown in the video except the main tone: AK 3d gen Khaki

With this colors you get a very desaturated gold/bronce. It definately lacks of yellow, which makes it kinda realistic and int...

Painting Brown Metal NMM

Hey everyone. I hope ya doin great. I secretly did kinda summer pause, couldn't motivate me to pick up a brush. Therefore it was a bit too quite. But here we go again with a brand new video about painting some sort of brownish metal. I have picked the first model from my shelf and had to clean up the dust first. The chunky captain was already a test object, so I had to basecoat him again for this project. It is all about keeping the brown vibes in the NMM. I think on 32mm it works great. Nex...

Warm Copper Gold Armor

Hi everyone, like I mentioned in the post before, here is the footage of the warm gold armor painting. When approaching a large area, try to sketch a lot with a big brush first and do not waste too much time on the small detail work. First you should consider an interesting lightplan. In this case, like almost in any case, I placed the light not centered, rather alligned to the left side, to have room for another reflection with a more desaturaded highlight, like you will notice in mixing. Th...

Painting Alai Sword NMM

Hey everyone! Today I share the sword painting session with you. In this video I show a very fast and effective method, without too much overthinking of lightplacement. My goal was a bright metal effect with low contrast and gentle changes in hues, with one major highlight and few smaller ones. The violet theme on the tip was actually inspired by an artwork after some research. It should harmonize with the cloth and follows rather the rule of cool then any enviromental storytelling. The lower...

Painting Vercingetorix Face

Hey folks,

today I want to share the summary of my sessions of painting this male characters face. I have aimed to create a rather desaturared warm skin type, to contrast the warm golds. It is very great sculpt, I struggled a bit with the eyes though. Basically I modified the base skin tone with red and blue and tried to controlled the warm highlights with yellow skintone and white. The footage is a bit fast forwarded. Have fun watching and thanks for your awesome support!!

Painting Alai: Arm NMM

Yes, two videos on one day. In this session I have started mapping the reflections on the arm armor. It shows how basic and bold everthing starts, to get a plan for the NMM. You will also see the fine tune and basically 80 % of the finished armor. Later I have added a bounce light color off camera, just by swapping the grey with brown. The placement was already planned here and did not changed.

Painting Alai Leather Glove

Hi everyone, sorry for being late this month. Today I habe uploaded the video session of Alais glove. It is quite simple leather texture, the characteristic of the leather is a bit more satin then rough matt. So my highlights going up. What is missing in the video is that I have washed the complete glove with a sepia/ agrax wash to mute the textures a bit and get a boost.

Painting Alai: Salmon Cloth

Hey folks, today I want to share the steps I did to paint something in an uncommon hue. Tried to paint a salmon red rose color for the fabric. First I did a grey scale prepainting to set my points of light and shades. That way it was easier to get a very dens rose coverage, without using any airbrush. I can recommend AK 3 Gen for larger surfaces, because they are very opaque and dont tend to build up too much layerheight. Meanwhile I am thinking of a pattern or freehand for the cloth, atm it ...

Painting Alai Part 2

Hello everyone, today I have uploaded the next session of the painting of Alai. She is a really really awesome model, and I can absolutely recommend her to everyone as a delightful project. In this session I have started to paint the chest armor with just 3 paints, for a cold metal effect. Like always it is not the hues rather the balance which makes the effect convincing. Next part will be the salmon pink textile. Happy painting to all of you!!!
