New one-shot story: S'No Day

This idea originated about a year ago, and potentially could have been folded into the letters written to the Weather Bureau. Because control of atmospherics means that Equestria lacks certain details which we accept as everyday risk. Outdoor events aren't rained out. There's never been a designated kite-flying day without wind, or where the gusts were too high.
I'm pretty sure some of you live close to the tropics. In zones where warm weather is more or less permanent, at least to the point where you never see the freezing mark. But I'm in the lie of a temperate zone, and... imagine a world where snow is possible, and it never gives you the day off.
Outrage.
It took about a year before the base concept came roaring back up from the boiler room, attached to what I thought was a midrange-silliness CMC idea. But it was never meant to be 12k. I thought it was going to top out around seven thousand words, and both the numbers and my exhaustion demonstrate how I was horribly wrong.
So tomorrow, I'm taking a non-snow day. Recovery.
Wednesday is for the local DMV.
