Chapter 4: Pages 67 and 68

(good thing I realized this now since the updates on the main site are a page away from this new page!) Next week there will be a new page 64 which will bump up the current page count by one. Look forward to that!
With that being said, enjoy these pages, I absolutely love page 67 here. The humor of this chapter imo make up for the lack of action you'd usually expect in this comic

One funny page followed by a growth page. Jak showing his dad side by scolding Liz and Rose for spying on Ray while he's having a private talk with the girl of his dreams. Liz and Rose showing more of their personalities when confronted by Ray. Liz shows her mom side by asking Ray if he apologized to Ally for burning her pants (a conversation she intended to have with him in Chapter 2 before Liev interrupted them) and ends up embarrassing him by mistake. Rose shows how proud she is of her nosy side by teasing Ray and then taking notes about his misfortune. Ally's expression in the last panel is one of comical anger and betrayal and Jak ready to whoop Ray again, demonstrating that his fatherly side extends to Ally as well. The second page is more meaningful as Ray ponders on what happened today and you can see that what Morales told him hit hard. Deep down, he knows that he only got his freedom because Asuka is different from the average meta officer. He knows that, under normal circumstances, he'd be in jail if he had been arrested by another meta officer. And as he got his freedom and is confronted by the bad along with the good, Ray realizes that he must prove that he deserves it or he won't become the kind of hero he wants to be.
