Time for Donations! :)

It's been a while, but I want to start supporting some organisations and great people :) I made two smaller donations this time.

One went to went to https://frostedfacesfoundation.org/donate

As always, I let a random generator decide. I really like this one because they also take in "unadoptable" dogs and take care of them. I think that's very sweet.

Second donation went to a german Team of animal rights acivitsts:
https://www.gandolfstaubenfreunde.de/

I know that pigeons are not very popular, but hear me out. The team collects lost carrier pigeons, or pigeons that lost their route during "pigeon racing" and of course dozens of injured pigeons that crawl through the streets (Which are often the result of the above mentioned things) and multiply. In their shelter, pigeon eggs are replaced with plaster eggs so that the reproduction remains controlled. Injured pigeons are given medical care. These animals are also subject to a man-made problem that should not be ignored.

Pigeons are also quite fascinating birds, did you know that pigeons can fly up to 120 km/h and they can even 'swim'? They also have amazing visual abilities and can memorize up to 725 different patterns,
as well as distinguish female from male faces :)

Please check these pages out if you want to help even more. If you have any question regarding the donation, don't hestitate to ask <3

Thank you everyone for making this possible! :)

Pigeons, Rock dove, same thing, they both describe an amazing bird. There are myriad books on them and how they've been used in war and for communications in peacetime, but also lots on how intelligent, sweet, and living they are. Racing has no upside for the bird, only the human. It's got a very dark side, just as skeet shooting has. Unfortunately, there are those who prefer live targets to hone their skills. Thank you for choosing a pigeon sanctuary. I raised a baby once, but it was the height of my ecstacy and the saddest moment of my life when I let him stay with a wild one he'd found. He was so beautiful soaring the clear skies with his lifetime partner!

I like pigeons. It took awhile for them to get to my area, I live up north. But they've been pretty decent.
