Teaser An Impractical Guide to Godhood 26 August 2025
Added 2025-08-26 06:09:28 +0000 UTCThe madness will continue until the morale will improve!
That, at least, is the guideline one Tyrant has effectively ordered, we will see how long it lasts...
Today's not-teaser gives you the first 18,000 words of chapter 36. Corrected a few things (I curse the autocorrect function for all the cloaks when I want to type 'clock', honestly).
More to come...what else? One of my betas has sent me his version of the TWO chapter, waiting for the other one and working on it at irregular intervals.
Oh, and if you are proposed to participate in a Titan's Game, refuse, you are going to entertain some immortals, but the demise will be long and unpleasant...

The Fool-Claimants are the only one ables to eat scraps of the power directly yes (the Cupbearers are, but only indirectly). The Warriors and the Slaves can't. As for the differences and the specifics, they vary a lot from Titan's Game to another, which is why they're yet to be explained in detail (evil grin).

2025-08-28 12:47:16 +0000 UTCReally interesting and I cannot wait to learn more. I do have a few questions : 1) are Fools/Claimants the only one ables to eat scraps of the wagered powers or are Warriors and Slaves ables to ? 2) what are the differences between each types of participations (we already got an explanation for Cupbearers but not Warriors if Iβm not mistaken) ? 3) under which types were the lords of the coalition entered ?

2025-08-27 14:34:42 +0000 UTCThey would get indeed 95% of their original power associated with the Sun/Moon, but assuming they will, they would be able to 'eat' a lot of the Titan's Power, so it would be more than compensated in the end...they might even get more powerful ultimately. Of course, the comparison ends there. Stronger as they would be, they also would be changed a lot by the ordeal.

2025-08-27 12:13:34 +0000 UTCAssuming artemis and apollo do get cupbearers, somehow survive, and at the end beat the titans, would they actually be weaker than before? Since 5% of the sun/moon will go to the cupbearer, and they'll be left with only 95% of their original might. Assuming of course, that the power obtained from the other sun/moon sources isn't enough to overcome this difference, which might not be the case

2025-08-27 12:00:29 +0000 UTCOne of the reasons Echidna joined is because the Coalition offers her the possibility of creating new and interesting monster breeds (like the Stymphalian Emus) after centuries of stagnation. There are other (and important) reasons, of course...

2025-08-26 16:01:47 +0000 UTCCan't see how percy would join this mess willingly... Though percy winning it like zeus did in the last game is pretty badass.... Also why did echidna joined a titans game ?

2025-08-26 13:38:16 +0000 UTCTo use Practical Guide logic - Percy and his friends have been cast in the role of heroic band to oppose the Coalition. This is too much of a pivot point in the story for him to be absent for....so no Percy is going to be dragged in.
