Heroic Foundation (An Impractical Guide to Godhood ch33 unbetaed)

All right!

As promised a few days ago, I have finished the writing of the current chapter of An Impractical Guide to Godhood, which is the 33rd of the Great Madness (aka the adventures of one Perseus 'the Tyrant' Jackson).

I'm glad to say that my estimates were (for once) rather good, with 'only' 81 pages and 31,000+ words in Word format.

Gloating me? No, I am far above that (satisfied grin).

Hope you will enjoy a lot the reading, since we begin this (insane) Arc 3.

There may be more pleasant surprises before the end of the week.

Bests,

Well, the powerpoint man is great.

With Perseus likely golating 'I told you so' before pushing her from the top of a cliff.

Antony444

Ah, I see you're a man of taste (big grin).

Well, Emutopia was always trying shit on Kiwiland, so I suppose the rule of the emus can't be an utopia...

Yep, a very good sum-up. Thanks for the support!

Not the whole world is going to be the battlefield...right now. It's more 'how to locate the battlefield when it could be anywhere', for the moment. Perseus, as of right now, doesn't have any Perseus-like visions in his dreams, if that's what you wanted to ask.

At the risk of cackling too much, dear patron, it is not going to follow the canon mission this time. But Artemis will be involved, oh yes.

she is definitely getting screwed by the SS rescue attempt if she keep being such a pain to everyone.

Magic is bs and technically they would be 13 by the second book and you could explain it away by saying demi gods hit puberty early

So, I have been reading the story again from the start and I had a question. Just how old are the main characters? Because I have been doing the math and something doesn't add up. In fact, most of them seem WAY to young to be having carnal relationships.

Cactuspunch

I really enjoyed this interlude chapter! While the personal dynamics of the Percy-Bianca-Thalia trio get ironed out, the backdrop is getting set for a new great quest in the near future. If this next quest roughly follows the canon mission like the last two do, Artemis may be screwed by Perseus' "rescue" attempt.

Perseus now has to worry about a whole world being the battlefield and that 100 million most likely spent at high speeds and at very inefficient rates. Nice to see the clear eyed seer available to be recruited. Slightly interested to know if Perseus gets vision from his dream. Still think a Moon goddess is going to gain the domain of folly if she does not get her act together.

Forgottenone

A decent transitionary chapter. We got to see hints of what everyone's up to, from Kimiko having become overpowered but also slothful, and the seed of doubt being planted in Grover. Poor Thalia is still trying to feel things out but the position of power she was used to holding in her original world isn't here. And as usually with literally anyone who argues with Perseus, she ended up coming out of that looking a bit like a whiny baby. Just once I'd like to see someone get the upper hand in a verbal fight against Perseus who wasn't also his superior in strength several times over. Oh, and it had nothing to do with romance, because that has caught him off guard a few times.
