Heating is back, the plot of Tzeentch has failed, and the story is progressing slowly. As to the answer for the readers who wondered where the prologue of the chapter was, here it is. And there are a few dates too, though I won't confirm you have seen every point of view in the order they are supposed to appear...
Yes, I have just reached the 30K threshold today (of which you get 14K here) and the chapter is far from over. What an idea to think it will be a small chapter...
Anyway, let's return to a galaxy of war, where peace is still a far away dream for a lot of souls...

The relevant parts of 40k lore get exposition, and if you know lore you might see some teasers or hints in chapters before things/people/places/events are formally introduced. And a lot of the ambiguous and unexplained parts of lore are interpreted by Antony as needed, because there's a LOT of unexplained and weird stuff in the lore. In many respects, this story is more digestible than Matt Ward source books.

He can’t really do that if his allies (read patsies) all die before he can throw his new toys at Taylor. Granted, I’m sure the nobles with the Marines Malevolent are Vandire’s stooges, so hopefully the other members of the alliance are significantly more competent.

Heck if I remember source correctly demons do not like being near him to begin with. This alliance is I believe for resources and to test some toys. Then he will go back to staying away from Taylor

I guess there isn't much point in showing the reaction directly, we've seen a few of them already, and Vandire is already planning a direct military confrontation... It seems that the Drake Fleet will soon deliver Lord Peter some valuable intelligence, in the form of their no doubt soon to be "ex"-scouting Flotilla... I fear the Draik's "Ten Charters" will be... Zero, before all too long...

Looks like things are headed to war in the Eye, (well more than usual) Perturabo doesn’t seem to have learned the lessons Emps took from the MoI Rebellion, Taylor’s seeks to make Vandire’s day worst, and the Marines Malevolent allies have already fucked up. Honestly Vashtor probably agreed to make the androids the way Perturabo wanted because it would served as a decent distraction for the Primarch when the inevitable betrayal happens. On another note, Vandire’s little alliance will either implode spectacularly or be hard carried by Bile.
