Waterdeep City Map - Dock Ward - Part 6 (All Tiers)

[Schedule note: this was supposed to be released last week (on the 20th) but either I scheduled it incorrectly or missed it somehow. Part 7 is ready to go and will be release tomorrow as I was planning on releasing Pt 7 today].

Continuing our way south around the Great Harbour of Waterdeep. The Dock Ward: a smelly, dirty, and dangerous ward bordering the Great Harbour.

This is Release 6 for the Dock Ward and adds 404 buildings.

Cumulative Dock Ward building count: 1888

Map Notes. This map fills in some of that missing middle section between releases 4 and 5 as well as a few more docks to the south.

Files. Files are attached below in both jpg and png formats, in 10px and 20px grid sizing (maps are not gridded) as well as high resolution 300dpi versions.

Part 6 dimensions: 230x260

Yeah, I figured it might not be that simple. I really appreciate the response though. I'll try those things :)

I've been trying to figure this one out for you for a while Allen but am not getting very far with it. The best I'm able to help with right is further explaining how my images/sizes are set up. I'll keep thinking about other solutions for you in the meantime. There are a few measurements for the files that I think are going to be relevant (using Part 6 here as our example) - If you use the "_10px" image it is 2300px by 2600px - or if you use the "_20px" image it is 4600x5200px For map scales, this is included in the filename - Part 6 is 230x260 5ft grid cells So we need some way to scale the pixel dimensions to physical dimensions. This is often specified as PPI in print settings, if you can find a software/app to let you do that. So perhaps if you find a PPI that fits the largest of the images on the 11x17 page, you can then use that PPI on all your other images to scale them down. I'll toss out another alternative solution for you is to use Arkana Tools' Paper Map Generator (beta): https://www.beta.arkanatools.com/papermap/ You might be better off waiting for the full ward image (which will be out tomorrow!) and running it through the generator. Hope this helps! Wish I had a more simple solution for you. Cheers

Ian

I'm tryin to print each piece on 11x17, and am having an issue where if I just do 'fit to print', they end up different sizes because of the orientation. Would you be able to share what percentage I could resize them all to so they would each fit on 11x17 paper, and all be the same size? Thanks :)
