Skullport - Middle - Dungeon of the Mad Mage (All Tiers)

Out of the dredge and up to The Venter Level of Skullport.

This map was a lot of fun to put together with the crisscrossing walkways on the second level.  It was challenging to figure out how I was going to map this within the limitations of Dungeondraft, which I love doing.

Up front - one big discrepancy from the book to note.  I cut off the walkways and a building at the south end of the west map, above where the bridge to Skull Island goes.  When you stack all the maps on top of each other those walkways stuck out too far south to make Skull Island seem like an imposing fortress – hard to do when you have walkways above the 20 ft tall walls....  I want to keep the possibility of stitching all these maps together, (even if not technically advisable), so I edited the middle level to suit this.  Here's where I mean and what's cut off (green line is the new edge):

Other things to note, I kept the lights outside of 'buildings-of-interest' from the lower level to stay consistent.

I thought about putting some railings on the walkways, but Skullport doesn't seem like a place where safety is of the utmost concern.

Files. I have included both Background "_BG_" and Transparent "_TP_" versions of each map; with this middle level, different than normal: background means it has the rock fill (which blocks the tunnels from view below), transparent means it is just things on level 2 - no ground below. For the Roll20 versions, this means the background version is a jpg while the transparent version is a png (jpgs don't support transparency); Foundry are both dd2vtt files.

The zip files below have the Skullport Middle Level as well as a GM overlay for each map.
Roll20Free is a .jpg < 5MB, Roll20Paid is a .jpg < 10MB, while Foundry formats are dd2vtt files. Roll20 maps are at 70 and 140 px per grid cell respectively and the Foundry files are 100px (this also holds true for the transparent images).  I had to split to Printable zip into 2 to stay below my 200mb attachment limit.

Sorry - Disregard. Was logged into the wrong account on Forge and was out of Asset space so the Maps weren't getting there. I changed to the DM/Host account which has much more Storage and all good. So ID10-T error. Thanks for the quick response! Also BTW- Maps are Amazing! Best $$$ Spent since starting Foundry just on the amount of Time savings!

And you’re using the universal battlemap importer module?

Ian

I have tried Downloading and importing this for Foundry a few times. Seems like All I get are walls and lights. No Image. I tried both West and East maps and the BG and TP versions. It's like the Map image is just not there.

Thanks for the response. I agree with you. Keep rocking these awesome maps!

You are absolutely correct Erick. I do actually note that in the description above - as when you start layering the various levels of the Skullport map on top of each other and connecting it in to the Skull Island map, the walkways are like 5-10ft from the "big towering walls", of skull island. Not so big and towering when there are wooden walkways overhead. So I made a (very rare) decision to edit the map from the source content.

Ian

Is it just here, or the lower west end is a little bit shorter than the original map? it ends on the ledge and doesn`t cover one last empty building. It`s the only problem I`ve found so far here. Great Maps! It`s taken my campaign preparations to a whole new level! Thank you.
