Level 3 - 4 - Dungeon of the Mad Mage (All Tiers)

The River Sargauth, Riverside Caves, and the Stonecarvers' Hall....

176 x 228, the final dimensions of the composite image above.  Whew, we made it!

The final 2 maps (F and G - you can check out the first Level 3 post to see how it's all fitting together) of Level 3, to bring us closer to Skullport.  The next maps will start to map out Skullport to the southwest of Level 3 (and tied in directly, as per the old Undermountain adventure maps).

The final 2 maps were fairly straightforward, mostly filling out caves with various outposts, battle remnants, etc.  Map G had some cool locations in it and allowed me to draw some custom assets for it.  The stone carvers hall and stone blocks in various stages of carving within were added as per the descriptions in the text.  There are custom assets included as png files in each of the zipped folders for use as tokens for the black ferryman's gondola and the zurkhwood raft, depending on your party's preferred mode of transport.  The only other area to note that was vague is area 12, the Boo-ty hunters where I added some holes on the beach to convey their search.

The other "fun" discovery with these maps is I hit the limit of what I can reasonable map with Map F at 68x122 and started generating graphics card memory errors in dungeondraft (on an 8 GB graphics card); so I'll keep that in mind for the future.  Here I thought dividing it into 8 maps would suffice! I had to upscale some of the images afterwards to keep consistent with the other maps and not have weird discrepancies if you stitch it all together.  I'm hoping these work okay in various VTT's but let me know if there are issues and I can figure out a solution!

Files. I have included both Background "_BG_" and Transparent "_TP_" versions of each map; background means it has a flat grey image behind the dungeon, transparent means there is nothing there. For the Roll20 versions, this means the background version is a jpg while the transparent version is a png (jpgs don't support transparency); Foundry are both dd2vtt files. IF you want to puzzle piece the sections together like above (NOT RECOMMENDED, the image is 176x228 grid cells), you have the transparent versions available for that. However, if you set up each map to an individual scene, you could use either, but the _BG_ jpgs will meet the file size limits for Roll20 (TP pngs may not!).

The zip files below have Level 3 Maps F and G as well as a GM overlay for each map.
Roll20Free is a .jpg < 5MB, Roll20Paid is a .jpg < 10MB, while Foundry formats are dd2vtt files. Roll20 maps are at 70 and 140 px per grid cell respectively and the Foundry files are 100px (this also holds true for the transparent images).

which file specifically are you having troubles with? I'll try and see if I can replicate it and figure out a solution.

Ian

why does Roll20 say that the type of file isnt supported for the roll20 versions??????
