The Next Adventure?
Added 2021-08-28 14:01:02 +0000 UTCWe are in the final stretch of Waterdeep Dragon Heist (crazy!) - I just put the finishing touches on the Scarlet Marpenoth map (it is one badass submarine!! - will be released Monday) and then I just have Kolat Towers and the Extradimensional Sanctum remaining in the 'by-the-book' WDH Series. I also owe all of you (my fantastic patrons!) an alternate Vault of Dragons (just the lowest level, it'll be a free Patron only release - in more of an Alexandrian described layout). Finally I have Blue Alley on my roadmap for filling out the Waterdeep Map set. Beyond that...it's wide open.
As you all have been so generous in your support for my work, I wanted to gauge interest on what adventure you want to see next. I will be very clear here - my intent is to INFORM my decision on what to do next - not decide it. Mapping an entire adventure is a serious undertaking - I will need to scope it out, make sure I can do it, etc. etc. - the winning vote will not be guaranteed to be mapped.
Thank you for your support as we wrap up WDH and I look forward to the next adventure! Be sure to join the discussion on Discord as we wrap up and move to whatever is next.
Poll will remain open until I finish WDH / need to get started (~ a month).

Putting in a vote for Acquisitions Incorporated please, I'm weaving it into Dragon Heist and would love maps of your calibre to use for it!

2023-03-11 19:37:57 +0000 UTCCurse of Strahd!!! PLEASE! I actually am running my Waterdeep Dragon Heist campaign into Curse of Strahd right afterwards and I would love to keep map consistency throughout. Curse of Strahd is also one of the most highly praised 5e campaigns I think, which could potentially bring in more people to you.

2021-09-21 20:49:59 +0000 UTCThanks for the detailed rundown!! That is very helpful. I will give it some further thought - I can see potentially doing them in the future - maybe as a little break or spaced out every so often during the next campaign i map (still TBD). I designed all the rest of the maps to support all seasons so it would make sense to support the remix a little better. Cheers!

2021-09-11 15:10:57 +0000 UTCI appreciate you taking a look, even if you don't make the maps! The Xanathar Sewer Hideout 2 actually uses the Cellar Complex map from the book, and the Zhentarim Interrogation House uses the Alley map. The Artheyn Manor, Asmodean Shrine, Terasse Estate, and Brandarth Crypts are all new maps. I'd say the Brandarth Crypts is the most important, since in the Alexandrian that's where the Vault is so every party will go there. The Asmodean Shrine and the Terasse Estate are of roughly equal importance imo, as they're the same type of location (what the remix calls "outposts", that a DM might or might not use). The Artheyn Manor is of equal or less importance than the outposts--it's a lookout spot for the Gralhund Estate raid, and if the players miss their perception check they won't find it entirely (that's what happened in my party), although it's a cool map that could certainly be incorporated elsewhere in the remix. There are also some of the normal maps that have different contents than in the general game, but that's certainly the least important. That's why I got the Cartographer tier on here actually, so I could easily edit your awesome maps to match exactly what I needed in game :) (edit: accidentally clicked enter too soon, fixed the comment)

2021-09-10 15:56:14 +0000 UTCI had a quick look this morning as I have never run the Alexandrian - looks like there are 4 mapped locations referenced (Artheyn Manor, Asmodean Shrine, Terasse Estate, The Brandath Crypts) and then a couple more that pop up mentioned (Xanathar Sewer Hideout 2, Zhentarim Investigation House). Are those the only ones? Are some of those more important than others? I admittedly mostly skimmed the descriptions for now. Just trying to get a sense of what it might entail.

2021-09-10 15:37:16 +0000 UTCWould you consider making maps from the Alexandrian remix? There are some locations that aren't in the source book and it's very difficult to find nice maps for them online.

2021-09-10 04:41:34 +0000 UTCSome of these other adventures already have beautiful maps from Mike Schley. My vote is on Descent into Avernus!
