Courthouse - Waterdeep Dragon Heist - Encounter 8 (All Tiers)

Courthouse. For your player's sake, let's hope you don't need these.  But let's be real for a moment here - there is a pretty solid chance your players will end up in court for something stupid, regardless the season of WDH you are running and I wanted to make sure to have you covered.

Map Notes. We made it! These are the final maps of dragon season (chapter 4) from Waterdeep Dragon Heist encounter chains - although if your players make it here, there is a solid chance they messed up! We'll let the Magister sort them out...

This is a combined summer/autumn map as the only 2 seasons that use the courthouse - all of the 'differences' between the seasons are encounter based, not setting based (ie. what happens and to whom changes, but the layout/décor is the same).

Map wise I wanted to go with a deep regal red color to add a feeling of officiality to the map (and it also nicely matched my re-used mahogany table and bookshelf assets from the Gralhunds for the magister's office).  In the main courtroom I added a few elements to help drive home the feeling of being dragged up in front of the magister: the audience gallery is plush carpet, but beyond the wooden railing separating the floor of the court is cold stone leaving you feeling isolated and uncomfortable as you sit below the bright chandelier overhead.  In front of you lies the magisters desk - raised on a wooden platform they look down on you (both literally and perhaps figuratively depending on what the players have done).  Elsewhere I kept to the book much more closely and should play the same throughout.

Files.  The zip files below are organized in 3 seasons (Summer and Autumn are combined) and 3x folders per season: Roll20Free for smaller 70px images; Roll20Paid for larger 140px images; FoundryVTT for 100px dd2vtt files compatible with multiple VTTs. There is an additional folder for the Printable maps which are 140px gridded images in black and white.
