(FYI, this post contains some info not visible elsewhere, so please give it a read if you are using Silver Roper for the first time :-)
Silver Roper is a Patron exclusive plugin that creates very fake, but very fun "ropes" for limb-to-limb and empty-to-limb connections. These ropes don't collide and don't interact with each other or the environment, so please set your expectations accordingly :-) I experimented with multi-link chains and collisions, but those caused lots of instability, so I opted for a much simpler solution. These fake ropes may not be fancy, but they have minimal impact on FPS and very stable, even when you have a few of them attached at once. (Physics freakouts are always a possibility, but they should be relatively few. When in doubt, reload the plugin).
There are 2 ways to use SilverRoper.cs:
1. Add the script to an Empty (Add Atom->Misc->Empty) and choose a character and target to attach to.
2. Add the script to a character and choose two targets to attach to (these can even be targets on different characters!).
After attaching a rope, use the Position offset sliders to adjust the point of attachment on the character (this can have a big impact on the way things behave. For example, when attaching the rope to a character's chest, adjust the Z position to make the attachment in the front or in the back. It makes a big difference so be sure to experiment with it!)
I highly recommend DarkFantasy's Leather Cuffs to use with the script. They are used in the demo scene (which is totally optional but a good way to check out how to use the script on both empties and characters). The demo also uses Rock House Conversion, XStatic Particle Pack #4, and Laine Look.
Thank you for your support and have fun!!!
