I'm excited to present to you a new Spring-inspired illustration, which will be available on my Etsy shop this Thursday at noon Los Angeles time! Still working on the flyers and such to advertise the shop drop publicly, but I figured it'd be fun to show off the new print for patrons ahead of that.
I initially had a much bigger piece planned, and even put a lot of work into it this weekend, but it's just not coming together the way I wanted. Sticker Club members will see a preview of that piece on the April horoscope postcard, and I do intend to finish it at some point, but I decided last night to pivot. Sometimes an idea just isn't ready and that's okay!
Cue the piece you see above, which was initially conceived as a sticker but upon completing it, I felt it would make a much better candidate for a print. It's simple, playful, and something I can see fans of rainy weather (like me!) hanging up in their homes! I decided to go with a...well, I wouldn't call it a lineless style, obviously, but a style that has a bit less emphasis on lines, and I really enjoyed working this way. It felt fresh and fun, and I love the end result! I hope you do too.
