AOT Rays Of Heaven Ch 10 : Free Day And Meditation

Although I was pretty happy with my hunts, others not that much, when I get back I saw both Mikasa and Carla glaring at me waiting outside the house.

"oh man"

A lecture was waiting for me and I could sense it, but there was simply no escaping it this time around.

Sigh.

No matter how annoying, it's still nice that someone cares for you.

From that day on, I kept on going on hunting in every alternative day, as I also had to continue my training.

Today was a free day and thus I am here out,  passing time.

"Ray, what are you doing ?" came the voice and I looked back. This was Armin. I met him after a few days I came here. He is a good kid and a friend.

"Nothing just taking a stroll around, passing time basically," I replied as I saw the blond kid come up to me.

Armin is pretty smart actually, just not that much confidence. But which 9-year-old who gets bullied by other kids is confident?

"Strange Mikasa is not with you ?" Armined asked looking around.

"Nah, I got out of the house before she could catch where I was going," I replied, not even needing to explain why I had to do that.

Nothing against Mikasa but I just need some time to myself too you know.

"Oh okay," Armin said as we continued to move toward the main district of the town.

Ray and Armin strolled through the quaint streets of Shigashina district, their footsteps echoing against the cobblestone pathways.

The air was filled with a subtle mix of aromas from the local bakeries and the distant scent of blooming flowers.

As they ambled along, the sun cast a warm glow, painting the buildings in hues of amber and gold.

Their leisurely pace allowed them to appreciate the charming architecture that lined the streets.

Rustic houses with ivy-covered walls stood as silent witnesses to the passage of time, while colorful shutters adorned windows, adding a touch of vibrancy to the scene.

The occasional laughter of children playing in the nearby parks resonated through the air, creating a comforting backdrop.

Ray and Armin decided to explore a local market, where vendors displayed an array of goods, from fresh produce to handmade crafts.

The duo meandered through the stalls, tasting local delicacies and engaging in light-hearted conversations with the merchants.

The lively atmosphere of the market provided a perfect escape from the routines of their daily lives.

As the afternoon unfolded, they found themselves in a quiet corner of a park, surrounded by blooming cherry blossom trees. The gentle breeze carried the delicate petals through the air, creating a serene ambience.

Ray and Armin took a seat on a weathered bench, relishing the simple pleasure of idle conversation and shared laughter.

After a relaxing day, I was back to my grind. Working hard to increase my stat points and all.

But unfortunately, it was really hard to shake off Mikasa from my Trail. Today I had to come to the forest to ditch her.

"Sigh, I will take my revenge when he is a little older."

Today I decided to do some meditation. Even after having 100 energy, I have no idea what exactly it is used for. I mean come on, there should be something it can be used for right.

I tried everything I could think of and now only meditation is left. Maybe this way I find a way to use that power.

He found a safe place and sat down. Crossing my legs I close my eyes and focus on my own breathing.

Didn't took me long to meditate, I used to do this when getting bore in heaven.

But not for long and that was the goal, I wanted to maintain my meditation for as long as possible.

10 minute pass....

30 minute pass....

1 hour pass....

2 hour pass....

Even to my own surprised I meditated for 5 hours straight. At one point I even suspected that I slept in for few hours there.

But then I suddenly open my eyes.

I did so because I could sense something inside me, it was.... I don't know but maybe it was the thing which he was looking for.

Okay Okay, let's try to recreate that feeling again.
