Upcoming Changes & Exclusive Content

Tl;DR (The lord ; da rings): if you don’t change anything, nothing will change – but there will be new tiers.
So, there are a few changes coming up… after three centuries of the lone tip jar tier, I’m going to introduce more! This will come into effect from 1st July 2021 and will hopefully provide those of you who have been kind enough to pledge more than a buck, more bang for it, or at the very least give the option of receiving a little more in the way of exclusive content.
The tiers will also now be in Pound Sterling to help Mrs. Chi fill in tax returns and stuff like that, which unfortunately means that with the Patreon conversion, the $1 tier will go up to $1.50 (I think). However, if you're currently paying $1, you will continue to pay $1, so don't worry!
So, anyway, here are the proposed tiers and their rewards!
£1 ($1.50) – Thank you!
This is pretty much as it stands now. A tip jar that provides access to the occasional early access video, as well as more regular BTS stuff and occasional treats.
£5 ($7.50) – Thank thank you!
The previous rewards + a monthly short trigger video, voted for by you, along with guaranteed early access to Saturday’s videos.
£10 ($14.50) – Thank thank thank you!
Everything from the previous two tiers + one full exclusive video every month and you will get production credits in the video description of the last video of every month. And eventually, once merch is back in business, we will also provide discount codes, etc. for everyone on this tier.
So, overall, I’m keeping it simple with just the three tiers. The reason we’re doing this at all is because I haven’t really shown Patreon as much love as I should have, and I wanted to provide a way for you all to be more involved and get access to things that nobody else does. This is only possible now that Kim (Mrs. Chi) is on board, because her support and help is allowing me more time to not just make better content, but to be a better person – so you can expect posts and things from her too, like monthly polls, and BTS photos. And cats.
To kick things off, and because you’ve all been so amazing and supportive, I’ve included a Patreon exclusive video here for you all to say thanks. And I’ll say it again:

I just read this..and truly..I'm personally not looking for more, just want you to be the best version of you. My other artist friends make it easy because I xan buy a painting, buy a book, go to their concert....so this is my way of saying thank you and your creative process is worth my support. It is for real my blessing to support and I'm sure others feel the same. You be you. Nothing more required

I can't find any choice of pledges. Or is it only available on PC? My browser doesn't allow me to login on Patreon there, only mobile works. Haaaalp
2021-07-01 14:57:41 +0000 UTCThe last thing I would want is more pressure on you with your regular uploads and the day job with Patreon exclusive content on top. You've never owed us anything. If it meant you could get a pint at the end of a hard day's work. I'd buy that for a dollar! If you ask me I've never thought I wasn't getting a bang for my bucks. A one man army with the upload schedule alone is amazing along with the quality in the composition, costumes, props, and time and effort that is evidently put into them has always been more than a bang and I've always been glad to give in order to help keep that going.

Even though I'm a relative newbie to his channel, I have been staggered by not just the quantity but the incredible quality of his videos, in all aspects. I felt he certainly could be asking for faaaaaar more than just $1.00 for patronage, and it would be justifiable. Understandably, everyone's financial situations are different, so it's great that the original rate will be grandfathered in. For those of us who are fortunate enough to be at a point in our lives where we can afford a little more, it's a wonderful opportunity to continue to fund these productions. I'm genuinely excited to see what you continue to produce, Jim, should you happen to read this. It sounds trite, but thank you so much for sharing your talents with all of us. :)
