Dev Log # 47 - July 26, 2023

Morning y'all!

I've been busy behind the scenes building out the framework for Sexygons. It's been rather boring, but important work towards having a functional game that we can start selecting pinups to populate with! As you can see in the animation above, a big step in that direction was made. The game now knows when the player has correctly put in all the puzzle pieces, and displays the completed image. It then prompts the player to advance to the next round. Clearing all three rounds leads to a "Stage Complete" message box, with the player having the option to go check out the unlocked pinups in the gallery, or go on to play the next stage.

I've also gotten all of the puzzle-game portion's button functions coded into the game. Essentially the core game loop is completed. I just need to work on the graphic design for the "How to Play" message box. I'll be working on that after I get the first pinup stage put into the game (so I can use assets from it in the message).

The next steps are to build the game options, gallery, and credits page, but I'll probably shift back to Pizza n' Flings and get some more Peg art done to share with y'all next. Stay tuned!
