Confused!
Added 2018-02-06 10:16:00 +0000 UTCThere are a few things which bother me about Patreon. I can't figure out the notification system. It seems I'm getting a few notifications daily, but when I enter that section, there's really nothing new. Pledges are the same, likes and comments too. I can't transfer my account balance - there's an error saying, that transfers are disabled for frozen campaigns which is very strange because my campaign is not frozen and I haven't received any e-mail about this block. I'm also wandering if I should remake all my $8+ rewards so that I send them to Patrons after the payments are processed. There are just too many people who pledge at the start of the month and then they cancel before the payment period. That is really unfair and it is what made me consider this option. I would really like to hear you thoughts on these topics :) Thank you for reading and all the support!

As always, thanks for your input mate, will probably switch to up-front payments :) Hope they'll sort out the notification system one day.

About payment: I went through the same shit and then switched the payment method to up-front payment. You have enough to show to people for 1$ try out. And if they want more, because you offer great stuff, they will increase their pledge to get more. I think this is, unfortunately, the only way to handle this. and yes, like kevin said: inform people about it. the ones who are pledging already will stay anyway and any new ones will simply have to accept it.

2018-02-06 10:40:43 +0000 UTCIf you have problems with people canceling mid/late month, you should set your campaign to charge upfront. Just add a mention about it on your front page, and I think it will at least solve that problem for ya.
