Eshe Trophy 2 Draft
Added 2025-03-28 19:03:45 +0000 UTCI've attempted to do a part 2 to Trophy multiple times, but can never really find a hook I'm confident in writing around.
Figured I'd share my most complete rough draft with you all since I've been sitting on it for so long. Felt like it was less interesting, and more just indulging in the swap itself, so I've kept mentally talking myself out of any objectivity on it lol.
Various notes and bullet points are cluttered at the end of scene ideas I was throwing around.
Honestly if you all have feedback, on where to take it or just generally, I may attempt to give a go at finishing it.

Eshe's bubbly joy at being her "self" and sliding into her new life contrasting with the trophy's new non-personed reality, and its total, unbothered acceptance of it has potential definitely. Honestly a more concise idea than going into the "Eshe learning more about herself" ideas I jotted down in my notes (a later chapter more centered around that potentially). I already have some ideas for writing around this now, so it may end up being the next draft. I suppose that brings up how generally mean-spirited going into that aspect can be, and how much people are comfortable with. I'm relatively unbothered by "bad ends" in branching scenarios, especially with my own characters, so I don't really have a filter for that lol. But I'm aware how uncomfortable most people are with definitive "bad end" type scenarios, even if they're only as canon as they want them to be, so delving into that has been a bit of a mental block, not knowing the audience's preferences lol. Considering I've gotten a few recommendations to explore the trophy's state as well though I may just go with it and see how it feels.

2025-03-30 00:45:33 +0000 UTCoh man i love the beats presented here. glad to see the disconnect leaned on so heavily... maybe its just me but it would be nice if there were a bit about the trophy that used to be eshe. the cruelty of all that and the complete loss of personhood juxtaposes fantastically against how peppy the rest of the story is i think!
