Bloom Hair Physics WIP

Figured out what I was doing wrong with the wiggle bones before, turns out the addon wasn't meant for simulating physics in real time while rendering, the tutorial I watched left out the part where you hit a "bake" button that comes with the addon that keys every frame of the animation with where each bone should be on that frame. Once you do that, you can disable the addon completely and the bones will still move, using significantly less ram. So now Bloom is fully rigged, all I gotta do now is adjust the roll on her hair bones and give them custom shapes for readability when animating and I'll be ready to start making her clothes.

I also now know why in the Monsters Vs Aliens TV show they changed Ginormica's hair to be tied back, cuz otherwise setting all that up woulda been a BITCH! And I imagine it's for the same reason why the only character in Digital Circus who has hair that isn't covered by a hat has fairly short hair. Cuz if she had longer hair setting all that up woulda been a BITCH! I will forever use this experience as another example of why I don't fully disagree when artists respond to criticism with the challenge to see the critic do better themselves. I don't necessarily agree either, Butch Hartman's still a Bitch Fartman for using that argument, you don't have to be a master chef to know when food tastes like shit, in theory you shouldn't need to have done something before to criticize someone else doing it, but those people have at least some kind of point in that doing something yourself is easily the most effective way to get insight into why certain decisions get made, resulting in a more informed opinion, and the more I learn how to do in Blender the more I find myself looking back at what I used to consider bad CG with a different perspective.

I remember one time as a kid catching an episode of that Casper show that aired on Cartoon Network and absolutely seething cuz even back then I thought it looked like dogshit, and I kinda still do. It's the eyes, they Cocomeloned Casper before Cocomelon was cocoing its own melon. That's not why I thought it looked like dogshit back then though, back then I thought it looked like dogshit cuz it didn't look like a Pixar or Dreamworks movie, cuz I was like eleven and didn't understand that movies and TV shows have a big difference in budget. And instead of just changing the channel, I bemoaned how such talentless hacks could get jobs as animators, I genuinely believed that they were somehow the reason why I, while attending middle school I will reiterate, wasn't getting job offers from studios for my crappy Flash animations posted to an old DA account I don't use anymore, cuz all those jobs were going to THESE chucklefucks! But now that I've had the experience of spending whole weeks of my life that I'll never get back busting my ass just to make single character rigs that don't look much better than those ones, now I wonder if all the other times I struggled with something like textures or weight painting that seemed like they should be simpler than they were were actually just karma getting me back for being a snobby little fuck
