Eva's Hourglass

Posting this in the one dollar tier instead of the five dollar tier with the sketch here to make up for the fact that I no-longer have the sketch, nor the original work file that would normally go up in the six dollar tier. Sorry about that, the external hard drive I keep all my work files on shat the bed, and my last backup was six months ago. What's honestly ironic is that on the day it happened I was just thinking about how I haven't saved a backup in a dangerous amount of time and should really do that asap, and as soon as I got back to my PC to do it I couldn't access anything on it. Spent all night looking up any way I can to get the files off of it, but nothing worked, I needed to partition the drive to do that, but every time I tried to I would get an error message called "cyclic redundancy check." As far as I've been able to find that means it's corrupted and if I can't partition the drive then it's absolutely fucked. Thankfully I was able to get back a good amount of what I lost from them being posted somewhere, so I was able to also get back the Sai files for almost all personal stuff because they went up here, I was able to get this back because I showed it to a friend in Discord DMs when it was finished, so as much as it sucks to not have been able to recover everything, at least I was able to recover some part of everything, except for works in progress.

That's the part that really pissed me off and ruined my whole day, because that means I lost the Junko mermaid pic that won the last poll. That was shaping up to be something I'd be really proud of, I actually loved the design I came up with for both her and Chiaki who I was going to put in the shot too just as a bonus. I'd start over on it, but just about anything I've ever drawn has always been lightning caught in a bottle, the few times I've ever lost something before it was done and had to start over, it was basically never as good the second time, unless years passed and there was now a clear difference in skill level. So I'm really sorry to the people that voted on that, but the first poll pic of this month is gonna have to be an IOU, I'll draw Junko as a mermaid and recycle that design eventually, but I'm gonna need time to have my heart be in it again. In a couple days I'm gonna put up the second poll, and I'll try to do something extra with it to make up for the loss. Sorry.
