Dota 2 Magical Girls

Here's a very early paid post for March! I was super excited to make this so I'm way ahead of my schedule (what schedule? lul). I also foresee that I will be busy starting the half of this month because of midterm exams, weekly tests, and papers so I might as well make an advanced post.

Sooo, about this artwork:

I thought about this idea when I was contemplating on drawing LoL characters instead because I was tired of drawing the usual Dota 2 art (traitor nyaa). I remembered when I saw two cosplays of Lux (I think it was her) which looked very much like a Mahou Shoujo character, so I had to dig around to see if there are other skins like that in LoL. I also remembered LilyPichu mentioning a Star Guardian skin so I thought maybe that's the same thing.

And so I found this picture on the internet:

Okay so, of course I thought CM should look very much like Cardcaptor Sakura or Madoka (but I haven't watched that yet pls don't judge me) and she should be the one in front hehe. Then of course I had to make Invoker a magical girl too!!!! Not just a byutipul boi like that cute guy above but a trap. Gotta be a trap.

Lina was another obvious pick, although I did think of Windrunner for a bit but nah, gotta be Lina. Then of course, Lanaya to represent the purple haired grill above. 

I had a hard time thinking for the last girl and I really want to stick to the color scheme as much as possible. I thought of Mirana first and maybe Windrunner but that's another ginger. I also thought of Naga Siren and Enchant too but they either have no legs or more than two legs. So I asked Volcano for suggestions and he told me I can do a Death Prophet since she has green hair. 

Aaaand lastly, since I really love Cardcaptor Sakura (I need time to watch the new series aAAAAA) I had to make Rylai's arcana doggo into a Kero-chan-like companion. Hnnnnghh IT'S SO CUTE /i need to make a yue someday too/

So umm TL;DR story about how I came up with this idea + characters I chose

Also, I will be uploading two art timelapse videos within this week. This piece took a long time to make so I had to separate the lineart and coloring process into two videos lul. At least you can skip over to the coloring if lineart bores you (like it does for me hehe).
