Vote: Poll #113

This week we'll get into more SEIN and FUTURAMA, and starting SEASON 4 OF DS9!!! We'll also check out the next Marvel THE AVENGERS and last week's Poll Winner 48 HRS.!!

For DS9 this week, I watched the version of episodes 1-2 that is 1 jumbo episode with runtime 1:33:08-- basically a movie and I loved it!!! I have been told some people don't have access to this version, only to the 2 separate episodes SO I will be including a "Watchalong" version which will show the episode onscreen with me with no blurring or muting 👍 Regular blur/muted reaction will be posted as usual of course!

Another poll this week of movies I never watched the sequel/continuation of the franchise, with the exception of The Thing (2011) which I heard is kinda like a prequel but I'd give it a go since I loved the 50's and 80's THE THING's so much! Make sure you vote!

Not that much left of Seinfeld so I've been really savoring it! Looking ahead at what will come after so make sure you vote/upvote on the MOVIE REQUEST SITE for shows you want to see, particularly comedies/sitcoms. I'm still figuring out my plans, but may drop some polls here soon to help me decide some things!

I'm also considering watching some Seinfeld bloopers once it's finished. Is there like an official bloopers reel I should look for, or a super well known YouTube video? Which bloopers do you guys recommend?

It's Valentine's this week and I'm sure I've mentioned before I'm not really a Val Day person, probably due to working in restaurants for so long so I still just carry the feeling that Valentine's Day is always a SHHHHHit show and stressful 😂😂 But I saved posting romance-y GHOST to YouTube for this week 👍 Anyone doing anything romantic or anti-romantic?

FYI I've been doing a Marvel every other week but I may post Iron Man 3 next week and then back to every other week, cause I'd like to switch the weeks I do Marvels. If not then I'll prob do this for Thor Dark World 👍

You guys are the bee's knees! THANK YOU for being here and being so cool! I've been loving everyone's enthusiasm so much lately. I just feel like we're all having a lot of fun here and it's so so so so cool ♡♡♡

Hope everyone has a great week! ♡♡♡

xoxo

Comments

Or some of the comments in the previous sequel poll led her to disable them from the start. Given most of those titles don't have the best reputations, perhaps it was inevitable. For me, "Sudden Impact" was the only correct choice (so of course it won't win). 🤷‍♂️

Byrd N. Hand

Batman Forever is a divisive movie, was the chat not behaving themselves to the point comments had to be disabled? 😄

Trigger

The jumbo episode with 1hr 33min runtime will be available for watchalong (showing the episode) & normal blurred version 👍

Jen M

It is a 'legal grey area' but SO MANY reactors are doing this now. There is an argument to be made that with our commentary added it's transformative enough to be fair use 🤷

Jen M

DS9 is one of my favorite TV series of all time. The original series and Next Gen are more "iconic" I guess, but DS9 was more consistent. It questioned and critiqued some aspects of the previous shows, while still remaining resolutely humanist. And the THING prequel honestly isn't too bad. It's not a "classic" like the other two, but it's a respectable creature feature on its own terms. :)

Bryan Tuck

Very excited for The Avengers. Also 48 HRS, I've not seen the latter in many years. I hope The Thing (prequel) does well, it's a well made entry.

Jason Scade

Hey Jen so which version of DS9 will be the watch along version? I have the original airing which is feature length. The 2 part version is edited so they actually cut a few minutes or a scene if i remember? I can’t wait to see your reaction this weekend!

Bobby Coolbreeze

Great lineup this week! Just out of curiosity how does the unblurred version work legally? I was always under the impression that this causes issues with ©.

Markus W.

With ya there, man!

Over50Gamer

Great line-up this week, looking forward to it!

George Foot

Ooo Batman Forever, not as good as Tim Burton's but still has some great stuff, a childhood favorite for sure

Matt

Jen, Seinfeld put out the whole series in a DVD collection about 20 years ago that is a treasure trove of special features. And they include at the end of every season, a bloopers clip for that season. And most of that content is now on you tube. So I think if you just type in the you tube search "seinfeld bloopers season 1" and then "seinfeld bloopers season 2" etc, etc, you will go down a Seinfeld blooper rabbit hole. Hope that helps!

Patrick Turman

I’d rather celebrate Friday the 13th with a horror movie than celebrate Valentine’s Day

Jeremy Nuss

Looking forward to DS9, and 48 Hours.
