I can't believe we finished off TNG last week! Of course we still have the TNG movies to look forward to (they will be watched in AIRDATE ORDER with DS9) but it really does feel like the end of an era. I looked back and saw I posted the very first TNG ep on Oct 23 2023, so it's almost 2 years to the day we finished the series, and so much has changed since then!
I am just feeling SO LUCKY to still be here with you guys, watching cool stuff and I'm just SO excited to keep going and check out more awesome stuff with you guys. Finding out how awesome Trek is has really made me just that much more excited for what's to come - falling in love with more amazing shows and movies no doubt! β‘β‘
I know MANY of you are curious if I'll be starting Voyager. I have given it lots of thought and looked into whether the shows themselves would have cross over storylines that benefit watching in airdate order. While I did enjoy watching TNG and DS9 in airdate order, my decision for the time being is to keep going with DS9 at 2 eps per week and once we complete that we can decide if we'd like to watch Voyager. I hope this is alright! I want to dive deep with DS9 and I'm SO excited to start Season 3 next week - I heard it's just a total banger from Season 3 onward!
Voyager fans please don't fret, this doesn't mean I'm not interested in it, I just want to complete DS9 first π
THANK YOU GUYS for being here! You guys are the bees knees! Ohhhh man, speaking of-- the WEIRDEST thing happened to me this week! I was in bed for the night, just drifting off to sleep and felt something moving in my shirt. I thought it felt like a huge spider so I was really freaked out!! I grabbed it in the dark and squished it with my bare hand. It was a wasp!! And it stung me! My hand swelled up but I put some ice on and it was fine, but mostly I was just disoriented from the freak middle of the night bee sting in bed! What the frig! π±π±

I like Voyager but is nice focusing on DS9.

2025-11-05 10:24:16 +0000 UTCPersonally, I prefer it this way, to watch DS9 first and then move on to Voyager. It was worthwhile to watch TNG and DS9 in air-date order, since there are a few connections between them. Especially, because watching the TNG movies out of order could have led to spoilers being revealed, not really by the movies but by people trying to jump ahead to explain things. Voyager, on the other hand, largely stands on its own with hardly any ties to TNG or DS9. That said, the film Nemesis does include a small connection to Voyager which does constitute kind of a major spoiler. So, if there are plans to watch or react to Voyager, which I hope there are, it is best to save Nemesis until after finishing that series. And while First Contact does have a cameo appearance as well, I think that can be considered entirely spoiler free.
