For me, Carrey was usually 'too much' in his comedic vehicles. I could really only handle him in small bursts, à la In Living Color or when there was a so-called counterbalance to him, à la Jeff Daniels in "Dumb and Dumber." I'll always go back to his more dramatic 'holy trinity' of "The Truman Show," "Man on the Moon," and "Eternal Sunshine" before anything else he's done. 🤷♂️
