Such a beautiful movie that never fails to bring me to tears. While it's often the father-son theme that gets to people, I have a different family connection to it. My grandpa grew up on the street where they filmed the "Chisholm, Minnesota" scenes (actually filmed in Galena, Illinois, not too far on the other side of the Mississippi from where the field is in Dyersville, Iowa) and I've been going there my whole life. Every once in a while I drive over to Dyersville (on the highway that they used for a lot of the road trip scenes) to see the field itself.

2025-05-05 01:00:51 +0000 UTCSame.. I was following Ashley Burton prior to Jen and she had the most authentic reaction I'd expect from watching Field of Dreams. But I realize not everyone can become emotionally compromised on camera.

2025-05-04 23:35:49 +0000 UTCPerfect movie. I love it so much that I search for reactions to it and bookmark the best ones for rewatch. Jen did a fine job here, but I gotta admit, if the reactor isn't weeping openly by the time Costner says, "Hey... Dad?" I have to deduct a few points. Still, a solid B+ reaction. LOL
