Maverick (1994) Full Length Reaction

A comedy Western full of double crosses and cahooting! Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster surprised me with their chemistry and this was a fun romp with lots of twists along the way. Only just heard it was also a tv show, very curious if it's anything like the movie?

Lightning Jack is another good western comedy that also came out in 1994.

Great reaction, I'm happy you enjoyed it so much. ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿค ๐Ÿƒโ™ฃโ™ โ™ฆ๐Ÿ’œ This film reminds me of wonderful summers. Richard Donner sure made some very entertaining movies. Shout out for 'Superman II: The Donner Cut'.

Support your local sheriff/gunfighter are great recommendations. I loved these when I was a kid.

As somebody who voted for this film, itโ€™s just because itโ€™s a fun movie that I enjoy. Nothing more than that.

A couple James Garner westerns I'd recommend are "Support Your Local Gunfighter" and "Support Your Local Sheriff". The Lauren Belle sternwheeler steamboat, real name Portland, is currently moored here in Downtown Portland, Oregon at the Tom McCall Waterfront Park. She was built and launched in 1947 and served the Port of Portland as a tugboat until she was retired in 1981. Ownership was transferred to the Oregon Maritime Museum for $1 in 1991 where restoration work began with the intent of turning her into a stationary museum ship. Restoration was completed in 1993. She still operates for tour cruises along the Willamette River. She is the only surviving original steam powered sternwheeler ship in operation in Oregon. A replica, non-steam powered, sternwheeler was constructed in 1983 and operates on the Columbia River Gorge giving tours.
