Been loving these old classics. Then we're watching Get Shorty, cause I always thought that was a really cool title and the cast looks awesome!

Guys I got too eager for the warm weather and it's been pretty cold here again and actually snowed. BUT STILL, it's officially spring and I'm jazzed! What movies/shows are you looking forward to in next few upcoming months?

*Regarding Name in Credits: If you're on a credits tier it can take up to a week to see your name in the credits (though usually within a few days). This is because I sometimes work ahead to get videos ready to post before they go live. If you do not see your name after 1 week please message me and I will make sure to add it. Credits will be listed as your name shows on Patreon. If you don't want your name in credits please message me and I'll remove you from list.
*Spoilers: PLEASE no spoilers in comments or in direct messages to me. No "hints" or trying to lead me in the right direction or asking if I want to know something. The point of these reactions is for me to discover things as I go and to be surprised. Thank you, I appreciate it!
*Replies to Messages/Comments: Across all platforms I now get hundreds of comments and messages every single day. I do my best to return messages but please do not be offended if I do not reply or if replies take a while. Many larger channels hire people to help them answer messages or reply to comments. I read all comments and messages myself, even if I don't have time to reply. If you leave a comment or message please know I received it and I appreciate it.
*Apple Users: Apple has now added an additional charge for Patreon (ugh). This extra charge ONLY applies if you subscribe to a creator on an apple device. Make sure that if you're signing up for myself or another creator's Patreon that you use a different device other than Apple so you don't get charged extra! You can still access content on Apple device after signing up on different device.

I feel like The Time Machine has been on my watchlist for like 4 years now. Seems like a good excuse to finally watch it.

You were raised on a howling embarrassment. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ George Palโs 1960 version is not only one of the coolest scifi movies of the 60โs, it actually improves on the spirit of Wellsโ book. Itโs not too late to be cured.

I saw Get Shorty when it originally came out, but that was a million years ago and I don't remember it. I remember it had a lot of hype when it was new though. Not too many new movies get me excited. I'm looking forward to seeing the new Stephen King killer monkey movie. And I'll also probably enjoy that one where Hannibal Lector traps Pennywise in a super-car. I've mainly been watching old noir movies I haven't seen before. You know, for as old-fashioned and naive some of these old movies are, the scripts are a lot smarter than most of the movies put out today. I think the old style was focused more on plot than anything. I like seeing the changes in aesthetic by experiencing old art and entertainment.

2025-03-26 10:32:46 +0000 UTCFor one final time please please please react to glass onion before the 3rd knives out movie comes out this year ( wake up dead men ) and please please please watch how to train your dragon before the live action remake comes out ( June 13 ) ๐ it may be spring but I'm still wearing my winter jacket and beanie at work cuz the wind is crazy cold , me literally two days ago " frig frig frig it's so friggin cold FRIG I'm freezing frig frig frig brrrrrrrrr FRIG OFF wind brrrrrrrrrr frig frig frig ahhhhhhh frig ! Frig ! Frig ! I may have used another four letter word beginning with F amongst the frigs lol. Only seen the newer time machine which I really liked so the original should be fun , not seen get shorty it was one of those movies I just could never be bothered to watch but that's about to change ๐ looks like a good week . Make it so !

This is pretty universal among all the reactors I support, I have to fight tooth and nail to get one on the schedule, or pay for a special request. They are many great movies but I have somewhat of a soft spot for old sci-fi movies.

2025-03-26 01:18:42 +0000 UTCI was wondering if I could make a bold suggestion. Instead of having the Producer Pick on a poll how about once a month Jen picks one at random and watches that. I think that could help you get over the 100K mark. Time Machine is one of my favorites. The remake is alright but this original is better. The original Journey to the Center of the Earth is great too. Going to be a great week!

2025-03-26 00:30:10 +0000 UTCI'm loving rewatching DS9 with you. Cant wait until you get into the seasons when they "kick it in the guts" storyline wise. DS9's somber theme song ๐ต will grow on you. It will seem more appropriate the deeper you get into the franchise.
