2025-03-21 11:31:30 +0000 UTCThe growth of Picard’s character over the series to include more information about his hobbies and his hellraising days was one of the best choices the writers did over the years. The Kirk of TOS was pretty static, but mid to late TNG and all of DS9 did a lot to have their lead characters be multifaceted and deeper. TNG was mostly only hampered by the episodic structure in that regard which I’m glad DS9 moved away from.
