This week we have more Sein and more Treks! Alsoooo you guys know by now as soon as the weather warms up I start thinking about monsters in the deep water, so we're watching Deep Blue Sea 😂 (Btw is Jaws 2 any good??) And checkin out Cannonball Run cause I know who Burt Reynolds is but I've never seen one of his movies!

Cannonball Run! Sweet!

2025-03-23 15:33:03 +0000 UTCIn a a way but Sharkey is more vulnerable than Harry is I think. And the film is gritty in a way Harry isn't. It pays homage to a famous noir film from the 1940's that I won't name because it could be a spoiler if you've seen the old one. It's more action oriented in a way than Harry too and the end stunt broke records for highest stunt fall even though the footage wasn't used. I love it because it is so different than the macho type character Reynolds played up till then. And the soundtrack is gold. The film almost makes you want to visit Atlanta. Almost.

2025-03-21 22:06:01 +0000 UTCThere was also “Cannonball” with David Carradine, but…Burt Reynolds and Dom DeLuise’s version was different. 😛 And unfortunately most people would have to watch 3D YouTube in red/green. (Not everyone still kept their 3DTVs from 2011. 😁). Think YouTube can convert side-by-side 3D into colors, but not sure. And if they could, House of Wax would have to come first.

That’s why second-generation kiddies have been subjecting themselves and reactors to the inferior “Cannonball Run II”, which was still available. (I’m not nostalgic for either one—lord did we wish Hal Needham would go away, in the late 70’s/early 80’s—but seriously, the race was a CARTOON in CR2??)

The Cannonball Run does have Farrah Fawcett and Adrienne Barbeau - what's not to love. I actually really like Jaws 3 (also released in 3D) - is it possible for you to react to a 3D movie? Would love to see your whole reaction with 3D glasses on, LOL! It is pretty cheesy and low rated (IMDB 3.7), but I liked it. (Dennis Quaid, Louis Gossett Jr., Bess Armstrong, Lea Thompson)

It has an amazing cast and I can't get enough of the wheezy laughs from Burt and Dom. It's like a live-action Wacky Races. I'm very much a motorbike/car guy and it ticks all the boxes for me.

It’s a modern noir with a great jazz soundtrack. How is the Fatty diet coming along? Can we call him Slim yet? 🐈
