UPDATE: This week ♡
Added 2025-02-28 23:12:14 +0000 UTCHey guys. I am SO SORRY for being MIA. My computer completely shorted out and fried earlier this week and I've been waiting to see if the repair guys could salvage anything off it so I would know what's realistic for me to update you guys with schedule-wise.
They saved some stuff, and most importantly I don't think any reaction footage was lost (I do back this up right away after recording thank goodness)! But I did lose several half finished edits that were coming to Patreon that I'll need to re-do and a few spreadsheets that I was using to keep track of the order of eps, dates for YouTube posts, Early Access posts, etc. But really could've been worse!
Aaaand the silver lining is I have a spiffy new computer now and hopefully rendering things will take a lot less time🤞
As for this week, today I've been getting this new comp up and running, re-installing all my programs, re-doing my lists and calendars, and figuring out all the settings again I was using for recording and editing. As well I lost the finalized YouTube edit that's supposed to post on Monday (shorted out as I was rendering it) so I need to re-do that.
I am very much hoping tomorrow to get this week's Trek posted and then hopefully Sunday Batman 66. The remaining stuff to come next week.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for bearing with me as I get myself back up and running!! I really appreciate your patience and I'm looking forward to being back on schedule with a faster computer ♡♡♡
YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!! ♡♡♡♡

2025-03-03 01:58:22 +0000 UTCHi Jen. Congrats on the new PC, sorry about the old one. You dealt with this setback remarkably well. Take care!

2025-03-02 21:49:21 +0000 UTCI'm sorry Jen, i know from experience the frustration of a computer dying on you. I'm glad you got a nice new one you love, and the things you lost weren't nearly as bad as they could have been.

2025-03-01 23:05:11 +0000 UTCI am not looking forward to October and the end of support for Windows 10, when I'll have to make a decision regarding my perfectly fine computer. (Yes, I am quite familiar with the hack, with ESU, and with Linux.)
Happy Hanukkah
2025-03-01 20:37:01 +0000 UTCHappy to hear your computer was sick and not you!

2025-03-01 19:10:09 +0000 UTCGlad there was some good stuff that came out of what must have been a frustrating situation. Happy to watch whenever you’ve got things situated.

2025-03-01 16:50:34 +0000 UTCNo worries! It's a fact of life; computers fry. If you managed to restore 95% you did better than most people would. Looking fwd to Batman something fierce !!

2025-03-01 12:19:54 +0000 UTCWe are going to need to see pics of this beast of a machine Jen. Unless you've decorated it with unicorns and rainbows...but glad to hear you are ok!

2025-03-01 12:06:32 +0000 UTCOkay, I'm officially jealous. Lol. I've got an RTX 4060 Ti, but I'm really happy you got a new PC—especially if it's as good as or even better than mine. The 4060 and 4070 are both solid cards especially for gaming. I think I almost went for a 4070 but honestly don't even remember at this point. My current PC is coming up on two years now, which is wild to think about. And of course, just as I'm getting comfortable, Nvidia decides to drop the RTX 5000 series. The upgrade cycle never ends! Lol

2025-03-01 10:40:00 +0000 UTCHaha! Honestly, that's the only logical explanation at this point. Quark must've pulled some shady deal, and now she is stuck paying the price. If only Jen had some gold-pressed latinum on hand—maybe she could've bribed him into at least warning her first! Guess she'll have to track down Odo and launch a full investigation. Though, knowing Quark, he'd just deny everything with that smug little grin of his. I appreciate the laugh—this made my day! I hope this makes hers too! Lol. 🤣😁❤️🖖

2025-03-01 10:18:38 +0000 UTCNo problem at all, Jen. No worries. I'm really sorry about your computer—losing a hard drive is brutal, but having the whole system fry? That's a nightmare. I've had drives fail on me before, and that was bad enough, but I can't even imagine dealing with a total meltdown. I'm just relieved you didn't lose everything. That would've been devastating. I'm really glad most of your reaction videos were recovered. Having to re-edit some is a huge hassle, but at least the majority were saved. Take your time getting everything back in order—no rush. I'm definitely looking forward to more of your reaction content, especially your next episodes of TNG and DS9. Can't wait to see what you think!

2025-03-01 09:53:36 +0000 UTCSo happy to hear computer issues. Not that I'm happy your PC exploded, that's always a hassle. Just saying I'm glad you and yours are good.

2025-03-01 04:21:12 +0000 UTCWell, firstly, I'm glad to hear that you didn't lose too much, Jen, but when these sorts of things happen it's never good, but hopefully the new PC or Mac will make things easier for you going forward.

2025-03-01 03:26:31 +0000 UTCHey no prob Jen. No stranger to computer malfunctions. Stay cool and see ya when you're ready :)

2025-03-01 02:20:03 +0000 UTCNothing can frustrate like a pc that messes up your work. That happened to me once after doing some heavy video editing and failing to back up my progress onto a separate drive. I woke up one day and it was done for. I feel your pain on that part.

2025-03-01 01:54:26 +0000 UTCSo I can call off the search party? Computers are awesome until they're not. I never shouted at inanimate objects before I got a computer.

2025-03-01 01:51:17 +0000 UTCMy copy of Excalibur is late for delivery anyway so I can wait haha. Glad things are okay and the new computer sounds rad.

2025-03-01 00:37:14 +0000 UTCAw man, I recently had my primary OS drive completely crap out on me and it was a headache and a half to fix so I completely sympathize! Glad to hear you're getting things sorted out (reconfiguring audio settings is the WORST though) and are getting operational again!

2025-03-01 00:09:14 +0000 UTCDon't worry about it Jen. You do a lot for this community. Do what you can at your own pace. Thank you for all that you do for us. You rock.

2025-03-01 00:06:16 +0000 UTCAs someone with a homebuilt system (and all the growing pains that came with it! 😅), and had to learn the hard way about making and investing in reliable backup soutions, I feel for ya! I'm glad you back up all your raw project material; that definitely saved your ass in production! Anyways, good luck with the new machine. I know how render times feel after upgrading and seeing it all run so much quicker and smoother. ❤️

2025-02-28 23:58:11 +0000 UTCSorry to hear that happened! I was hoping everything was okay with you. Good luck with getting it all put back together there! And hey, congrats on the new machine! That's an upside for sure!

2025-02-28 23:49:23 +0000 UTCSorry to hear about your troubles. Hope things will be looking up for you soon. Will be looking forward to new reactions whenever they drop, no hurry.

2025-02-28 23:40:24 +0000 UTCthats great i dont do any video rendering but i always hear the 90 series is life changing. you also might want to look into a network attatched storage device configured for raid(redundant array of independant disks) to keep data redundancy high and increase access speed.

2025-02-28 23:35:41 +0000 UTCThat stinks, Jen! Time to invest in a NAS. I shoot a lot of video as well and invested in a setup last year and I now have zero issue if any computer crashes. Could be back up and running in mere minutes.

2025-02-28 23:33:59 +0000 UTCIt's friggin sick! Well for me anyway and compared to my old one (which was a real work horse to be fair). 1TB i9 64GB RAM RTX 4070

2025-02-28 23:30:34 +0000 UTCYou need to talk to Odo and find out if someone like Quark sabotaged your computer. Quark is a lot friendlier if you bribe him with some Gold pressed Latinum.

2025-02-28 23:21:36 +0000 UTCYou should buy a UPS System to protect your computer and other electronics in case of power surges.

2025-02-28 23:19:10 +0000 UTCstop working your computer so hard Jen! You might want to add a 4 or 5 inch fan to circulate the air around the computer...it helps keep the computer cooler than just using the internal fan

2025-02-28 23:18:27 +0000 UTCI'm Hope you could do all the great work you been doing until now, and sure better. Live long and prospere. Hugs from Argentina 🖖🏽

2025-02-28 23:18:06 +0000 UTCI was looking forward to Trek today, but it’s okay. I noticed you hadn’t posted in a few days, so I’m glad to know it was your computer that got sick and you’re OK. EDIT: I was thinking it was Saturday yesterday (I mix up days of the week sometimes, sorry), so looking forward to full-length Trek on a Friday is my own problem. Saturday is Jen's usual release day for Trek episodes. I hope she gets it out tonight, but understandable and absolutely forgivable if not. Being without your work tools for any length of time puts anyone behind schedule.

2025-02-28 23:17:45 +0000 UTCGlad you didn't lose too much data / work. I've had a bunch of hard-drives die on me over the years, it can really suck when they go without notice. Awesome re new PC. :D
