Loved the stylishness, the music, the editing, the whole surreal vibe, the CANADIAN setting, it was just sooo cool!! It's been some time since I read them but I remember the first half of the movie followed them very closely and then it diverges later on. I believe the last book was being made during the filming of the movie so they probably had to get a bit creative.

2025-01-02 20:13:37 +0000 UTCI figured this would make for a great reaction. I wasn’t initially a fan of Edgar Wright’s style, but it really grew on me over time. His approach is highly distinctive with a visual creativity combined and a unique fast pace editing. He co-wrote and directed Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. I would also recommend The World’s End (the third installment of the Cornetto Trilogy) and Baby Driver. I believe this movie was somewhat overlooked during its production, as the studio was focused on some other higher-profile projects at the time. This allowed Wright to retain the creative control without much studio interference. However, it didn’t find its audience in theaters and was a box office flop, earning only $47 million worldwide on a $60 million budget. Despite that, it became a cult classic on home video.

The movie is different and creative. Stylish, surreal, and really cool with humor as you said. Alison Pill (Kim the drummer) is good in "The Newsroom" (2012-2014) TV series with Jeff Daniels.

You get a Captain American and a Captain Marvel too, with a Superman/Atom super hero thrown in. I am going to watch Jen's reaction to this at least 3 times. You can't stop me! Don't even try! I'LL TAKE YOU DOWN WITH ME! AAAAGGGGHHHHH!
