Excellent reaction to a true 80s classic. Glad you loved it so much! This was only a 15 cert, so not too bad for you. :) Your lipstick was looking pretty vampy, btw. The granddad in this kinda makes me think that's what Captain Quint from Jaws would have ended up like. That is, if he hadn't been eaten by something that disagreed with him. :'( 1:24:00 Frog Brother-- We took out the one that looked like Twisted Sister. 😂 1:35:20 "I never really heard of it before the channel, so it kinda flew under the radar." 🦇 Near Dark (1987) is an excellent, well regarded vampire film. Though it's a neo-Western / drama / romance too as well as vampire horror. Directed by the fab Kathryn Bigelow. I think this was an 18 cert(?) Fright Night (1985) is a superb vamp horror. Has some comedy but def leans more towards suspense, tension, horror. Has huge cult following. You'll probably love it, by the time it's over. Cert.18 Twilight series is teenage slush I'm afraid but it does have its target audience. Cert. 🤮 Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) is fabulous and beautiful and gothic. You'll love this too. (15 cert) From the director of The Godfather trilogy and Apocalypse Now. The dir of Lost Boys also directs Falling Down (1993), stars Michael Douglas and an older actor you're very fond of. It is very highly regarded. Gritty urban thriller/drama set in sweltering early 90s crime ridden LA. It's probably Schumacher's greatest film. I've read that Douglas says he considers it his best performance/role. Richard Donner did indeed direct the cinema released version of Supes II and also now has the Richard Donner Cut, which I super hope you'll do one day. :D He also did the Lethal Weapon series. And also Maverick (1994) which is massively beloved Western/action/comedy about card sharks and hustlers in late 18th Century Mississippi. Mel Gibson stars, oozing charm and charisma. Very solid supporting cast. You'll *love* it. It's highly voted on your film request site. www.jenmurrayxo.com

Richard Donner directed 'Superman' and all four 'Lethal Weapon' movies, as well as 'The Goonies'. Joel Shumacher also directed 'St. Elmo's Fire', 'Flatliners', 'The Client', 'Batman Forever' and 'A Time to Kill', among many others. Kiefer Sutherland, son of legendary Canadian Donald Sutherland, who stars in this, was also in 'Flatliners' and 'A Time to Kill' for Shumacher.

One word... Fright Night (1985) Okay, that's actually two words, maybe three, but you catch my meaning. Yeah? 🧛‍♂️

Major Peril

There's no other movie quite like Bram Stoker's Dracula! Both brilliant and horrendous in multiple ways. Hope she reacts to it eventually, haha.

Banes

Not sure if this was a big hit. I think it was. This was an interesting time where home video was taking off, so a movie would flop in theaters but then become a massive cultural phenomenon because of home video. There are lots of examples of that, I understand. I'm not sure if Lost Boys was a theatrical hit. I'd look it up, but there's someone outside my upstairs window...gotta check it out.

Banes

Absolute 80's flick, big hair and all. 😁 Loved this movie when it first came out, but couldn't get that song "Cry Little Sister" out of my head for months afterwards. Also, fell hardcore for Jami Gertz in this one! WOW!

Major Peril

I remember it being a bit hit in the video rental market, can't remember if it was at the cinema.

Joanthan Skidmore

I've seen clips and I still don't believe it. 😂❤️

Yes, please! The original Fright Night (1985) is a must-watch! The 2011 remake is admirable on it's own and David Tennant's (Doctor Who) turn as Peter Vincent is a hoot to watch.

Major Peril

Dracula 2000 is an interesting, and underrated Dracula movie (just my opinion).

Kristin D

Blade II! You will love it! Or, I should say, we will love you watching it!

Mastervodo

Saw that movie again recently and wow it’s so unique and atmospheric.

Julian San

I was too young to remember if it was a hit when it came out but it was a “Two Corey’s” movie for what it’s worth lol

Julian San

Yes, 80s vampire movies that are must watch The Lost Boys, Fright Night, and Near Dark. All great fun, and two have great soundtracks.

All these years and I never realized until this watch thru that Jamie Gertz played Star and at first she belonged to David, so she was basically the Star of David. :D

Loved Fright Night and just rewatched it! Now I'm revisiting Lost Boys and then VAMP, which was always a favorite. Near Dark as well. The 80's Modern Vampire boom!

Banes

As much as I love this movie, "Near Dark" is still my all time favorite vampire movie. I wish more people would give it a chance, because it was such a great movie, with great cast and awesome soundtrack as well. Also done around the late 80s.

Vwlss Nvwls

I saw this one in the theater when I was a senior in high school. I was a bit lost at first, but I loved it in the end. And the soundtrack is just amazing. So many good cover songs. And I absolutely love that ending. Yep, this is a must see movie for me, even if you do not like vampires.

Vwlss Nvwls

Seconded and third-ed. Movie scared the crap out of me when I was a kid.

Dave B

This isn't one of my favorites. I know a lotta people love it, but I've tried a few times over the years, and I never really got into it. If there's a vampire movie out there that needs more Youtube reactions, it's "Vampire's Kiss" with Nicolas Cage. He goes absolutely nuts in that movie. You've gotta see it to believe it.

This this this!!^^^^^

Can't wait to see this! For fun check out Corey Feldman's cover of Cry Little Sister. 😆

Adam Romero

Cool, was looking for something to watch tonight. This should be great, been a long time since I've seen it!

Lee R.

WOOHOO! Been looking forward all week. Yes, this was a huge hit when released as was the soundtrack. I thought Kiefer Sutherland looked very cool in this and tried to dye my hair blonde after seeing it. But I left it in too long and it turned out banana. 🍌 I had to get some hairdresser girl to fix it for me. 😅 Press play!

Jason Scade

This was a big hit when it came out. Bram Stokers Dracula is right up your alley as well. It’s based on the book and there’s a lot of vamp lore and history to sink your fangs into.
