The Klingon homeworld is called Qo'noS, which is pronounced roughly as "kho-nosh". In English, it's usually rendered as "kronos" Fun Fact, the 1st officer of Data's ship was the guy that asked the Captain to hand him a hammer in the DSRV in Red October.

2024-08-25 15:31:34 +0000 UTCJen, so Darmok has always been a highly regarded as one of the best episodes. I always liked Picard’s jacket…I’m glad you liked it too. The one thing that always made me crazy was that In the final battle the phasers of the Enterprise fire from the torpedo bay. This made 16 year old me crazy. The effects error was in all of the TV promos for the episode. I even asked one of the writers of the show that gave a speech at my college. “How did this happen”…lol. He proclaimed that it was not his fault. So these episodes were remastered in HD about 10 years ago when they were released on Blu ray. Even though I purchased them, this is the first time I have watched season 5 since the 90s. So in the HD version..including the version you watched…they fixed the effects shots and now the Phasers fire from the Phaser array as they should. I am ashamed to say how happy that made me. Now I can finally enjoy this episode…lol. It only took over 30 years for it to be fixed. The team that remastered this show did fantastic work.
